Draft:Terrance_Houle

Hello! Thanks for reviewing Draft:Terrance_Houle. I took a pass at it and cleaned it up. If you have no objections I think it is close to being ready for mainspace, and I will move it there shortly.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 01:48, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ThatMontrealIP: Looks good to me. You officially have my seal of approval on that pagemove. Kirbanzo (userpage - talk - contribs) 01:49, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you kindly, fellow COVID isolated volunteer! Do you think you could move it, so the new user gets one of those nice congratulatory AFC mainspace notices?ThatMontrealIP (talk) 01:51, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Inline Citations for Wesley Tongson

Hi Kirbanzo, Thank you very much for your review and comments. I have amended the article accordingly. Meanwhile, I would like to clarify whether a book published by the family of the deceased artist with the help of a reputable art curator be considered as a reliable source. Thanks again. Tracytnip (talk) 05:21, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Since it's technically a third party source, it's reliable but shouldn't be too heavily relied upon. Back it up with independent (i.e. the writer or publisher has no relation to the subject) sources as well, if you can. Kirbanzo (userpage - talk - contribs) 12:45, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sock tagging

Hi Kirbanzo - I just noticed on my watchlist that you sockpuppet/sockmaster tagged Alex Devens and Wolfssalt; but the last info I saw after I blocked Alex Devens was the checkuser Ponyo saying at User_talk:Alex Devens#April 2020 that Wolfssalt wasn't a sockpuppet of Alex Devens, and was rather some other miscreant pretending to be him. Have you got more information on this that led to you changing it back, or have I missed something? Thanks! ~ mazca talk 10:32, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kribanzo, as a general rule you shouldn't modify sock tags placed by checkusers or SPI clerks. Thank you, -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:59, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 23:20:45, 20 April 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by KingOfAlex

Hi,

You marked https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Cody_Zacharias as not having sources proving notability. I disagree with your decision, the subject is the main topic in sources 11 - 14, which is news coverage of the subject's work from multiple news sources.

Can you please reconsider your decision, or can you explain why the news coverage concerning the subject is not considered notable?

Thanks.

KingOfAlex (talk) 23:20, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@KingOfAlex: The reason why the coverage is not sufficient to prove notability is that, as I mentioned in my decline reason, those sources provide only passing mentions of the subject and do not give significant coverage (see the general notability guideline). Citing reliable, independent, secondary sources which provide significant coverage of the subject is how we establish notability and verifiability here on Wikipedia - especially for a biography of a living person such as this draft. Draft: Xena Workwear

Hi Kirbanzo!

I just received your feedback regarding my recent article submission (for Xena Workwear). I'd previously read through all of the known documentation regarding neutral tone as well as made sure that every sentence in the article was backed by a citation. I'd additionally combed through the section on "puffery" and made sure to avoid all of those terms.

Additionally, I used other footwear industry company Wikipedia pages as reference for proper tone and information presented:

 -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Martens
 -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockport_(company)

I absolutely defer to your expertise on the matter. I have gone ahead and altered the article sections to hopefully sound completely objective and factual in tone.

Could I ask for you to please re-review it and if possible, provide any specific pointers in case I have missed something? Thank you kindly!!!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Foorej41 (talkcontribs)

  • Thank you for the re-review, Kirbanzo. I've gone ahead and moved all external links from the body into a dedicated External Links section per your recommendation. Submitting for re-review now. Thank you for your patience and for the prescriptive recommendations. Hoping I finally have it all correct!
  • Kirbanzo, would you mind reviewing my article again to make sure that I've taken your suggestions into account? Thank you so much!

Draft article on Non-jurisdictional Dams

Hi Kirbanzo, Thank you for reviewing my draft article. Upon your second review, you have told me that the article still reads like an essay. I have reviewed the Wikipedia Manual of Style, and the article I have written seems to conform to these standards. I'm willing to improve it, so I am wondering, can you please be specific about what exactly in the article reads like an essay? The first part of the article defines a non-jurisdictional dam and points out (importantly and accurately) that definitions vary, according to state and country. The second part of the article summarises recent peer-reviewed literature about non-jurisdictional dams, almost all of which focuses on their safety, as you probably know, dam removal is an important topic currently, especially in the United States. I look forward to receiving more concrete feedback from you so that I know exactly how to edit the article for re-submission. Thank you kindly. Lhouette Draft page

Hi Kirbanzo,

How are you? Thanks for checking the draft page I submitted for Lhouette. The images that I submitted were taken by the WyeCliffe Gallery where Lhouette's pieces are sold from. I work with the Gallery and am trying to create a page for Lhouette (Ciaran Robinson). Any advice or help would be appreciated! I thought best to edit the page I submitted and then submit again? I'm new to this as I have only ever used Wiki to do Edits.

Many thanks!

Loisspencertracey (talk) 17:35, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Loisspencertracey: First off, if you work with the gallery, you need to be aware that that can be considered a conflict of interest (COI). Furthermore, if you're getting paid compensation for your edits, you must declare so on your userpage per the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use (see here for more information).
With those policy points out of the way, the following pages could be helpful to you:

Rollback granted

Hi Kirbanzo. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account . Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! GirthSummit (blether) 17:40, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kirbanzo,

I just wanted to check in on the revert to the LGBT Rights in South Korea article. I just was wondering if you could elaborate on what wasn't constructive about it? I'm not super well verse on the rules for Wikipedia, but I never thought adding wikilinks where articles already exist is a problem? If I'm wrong here, please let me know, always good to contribute in a more helpful manner. Thanks! --Bpmcneilly (talk) 22:06, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
