Suman Chowdhury (born 22 January 1997) is an Indian Wikipedian and electronics engineer, serving as a member of the Guild of Copy Editors and WikiProject Women in Red. Chowdhury is also a computer programmer who can comfortably program in Python, C, MATLAB, JAVA and JavaScript. Chowdhury was under Wiki-Stress during 2017–18. Sometimes, Chowdhury has been accused of behaving like a WikiOgre, supposedly due to busy offline life. But, he has refuted all such allegations and claimed to be a WikiKnight.
Biography
Early Life and education
Chowdhury was born into the clan (gotra) of Veda Vyāsa on 22 January 1997, in Baranagar, Kolkata. The ancestors of Chowdhury were Zamindars (Chowdhury) of Malighati in East Medinipur,[1] who fought against the British Raj in 1900s.[2] Chowdhury graduated as an electronics engineer. Chowdhury is interested in the fields of microelectronics, VLSI and internet of things. According to sources, Chowdhury is also an artist, practicing fine arts.
Personal life
Chowdhury is a Bengali Brahmin and Hindu by birth, and is an agnostic by choice. He believes in fundamental equality of humans irrespective of the differences on the basis of religion, caste, ethnicity, colour, age, etc. Reportedly, Chowdhury has been deeply influenced by both eastern as well as western schools of philosophy, particularly Advaita Vedanta and Stoicism. As per media sources, Chowdhury has been dating the famous celebrity, Physics, since 2010.
