RE: The Killer Inside Me (film)

It was deleted because the proposed deletion went uncontested for a five-day period. I'd ask that you read the Proposed deletion policy (WP:PROD) as it is linked in the deletion summary before going any further. - Rjd0060 (talk) 03:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The tag said to remove the tag if the deletion was contested. Did you read the page I linked? - Rjd0060 (talk) 03:36, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'm not sure why you haven't requested that the article be restored since you read Wikipedia:PROD#After deletion. I've went ahead and restored it though. - Rjd0060 (talk) 03:50, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Sorry for the confusion. - Rjd0060 (talk) 03:59, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

State of Fear

Yes, this is who you think it is, but don't worry this is constructive. I wouldn't go through the trouble of creating an account if it wasn't. The State of Fear article's criticism section seems a bit biased (leans toward negative) and you might want to take a look at it and see if it needs revision to be neutral.Sch-u740 (talk) 14:29, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I will place the biased template on the page but first need more spesific examples. It will lead to more action to be taken place to resolve the neutrality of the article. Hda3ku (talk) 15:07, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well the main problem I saw was that it said it recieved mixed reviews, but the article gives/cites 2 pro, 1 mixed, and 3 neg reviews, which seems to convey a bit of a bias when there are certainly other and equally notable positive revies (just look at the inside cover of the paperback of the book). Sch-u740 (talk) 15:09, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That seems a good enough reason to place the biased template on the page I might need you to comment on the article talk page regarding the bias. Hda3ku (talk) 15:19, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I considered that, but theres been so much frivolous debating on that point in the talk page that I'm not sure a meaningful concern would be noticed. Maybe the talk page should be wiped of all old conversations? Sch-u740 (talk) 15:49, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Dont wipe the talk page, a bot will archive them eventually blanking or unessary removal of content is consided vandalism. Some things take time. A talk page is not a fourm or a almost every thing is noticed and this will be noticed. By placing the bias template on the page it placed the page into a catogory just wait a bit. Also, could you please reply on my talk page to keep this dissucion threaded on one page. Hda3ku (talk) 16:12, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, but not now, I'm busy for the rest of the day. I'll get around to it eventually, and last I checked the bias template wasn't there but it may not have updated yet. By the way, I'm not wiping anything, I meant that as a consideration for an admin with an interest in the page, it's extremely chaotic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sch-u740 (talkcontribs) 16:51, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't do this. If you want to tag a page for bias, *make attempts to correct that bias first*, and discuss it on the articles talk page, not some little private chat of your own William M. Connolley (talk) 21:05, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMS Welcome

Welcome!

Hey, welcome to WikiProject Films! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films, awards, festivals, filmmaking, and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.

A few features that you might find helpful:

  • Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.

There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
  • Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Announcements template to see how you can help.
  • Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 (talk) 19:59, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Infobox VG Online Service

It would be, but Qore is the only VOD service (that I know of) that has something like episodes. If their was more VOD services that are part of video games I would consider it. RkOrToN 18:44, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Chuck Bartowski.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Chuck Bartowski.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:15, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Blair-brown.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Blair-brown.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.35.224 (talk) 03:00, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Shady Grove.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Shady Grove.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.35.224 (talk) 03:02, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
