Quick question....

Hey... Quick question: What is the code for the ad that stays at the bottom of the computer's screen, like a Wiki ad, but follows your screen? Thanks! --Braniff747SP (talk) 00:25, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Braniff747SP, the code is <div style="position: fixed; right:016px; bottom:0; display:block; height:72px; width:85%; opacity:1"> <center>{{Wikipedia ads|nolinks=yes}}</center></div>. It needs to be placed at the top of the page. I hope this helps. Rock drum Ba-dumCrash 14:39, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Layout

Hiya Rocky! Just wondering if you can send me the layout for the order form, we'd like to get it up and running soon. P.S.: the idea of a motto shop came from the logo shop, so I'm giving you and your allies the credit for the inspiration! Anyway, yeah, just shoot me the layout and we'll be good! I've set up all of the pages. The ones you need to know about are User:Belugaboy/Motto shop/New which is the template that people put on the talk page, User:Belugaboy/Motto shop/New/Preload which is how it will appear on the talk page, and User:Belugaboy/Motto shop/Mottorequest which is the request template that goes on the main motto shop page. Please feel free to edit them but be careful not to mess it up. Thanks, Rock drum Ba-dumCrash (Review me) 14:51, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Graphics Lab Interview for The Signpost

Hello :) I've just seen the notice about the interviews for the upcoming report in The Signpost. In particular, the one for the Graphic labs project. I'm a experienced, long time contributor on the project and would be willing to help out with the interview by answering the questions. Although I'm new to all this so I may need a few pointers and guidance, but none the less I would be happy to help where I can. Regards  Fallschirmjäger    21:26, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. As requested, MessageDeliveryBot will be delivering the newsletter today at midnight, I just wanted to double check that it is ready to be sent, as the request was made a while back. If it is not then please make an edit to the request, extending the delivery date, or leave me or another approved user a message. Thanks. - EdoDodo talk 16:24, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Geocaching WikiProject Newsletter - September 2010

WikiProject Geocaching Newsletter
Issue 2 - September 2010
Project news
  • The project has been going for many months now, and it's time to get it going again. Come on; encourage people to join, start editing articles again, please do what you can.
  • The project is still being built up, and the infrastructure is still being worked on. But despite this, we are now ready to work on Geocaching-related and other, related articles .

Some project tips

  • Use the {{WP GEOCACHING INVITE}} template to invite users. It has the chain letter effect and is very powerful for recruiting members. Pass it on.
  • A few moments checking other editors contributions is always appreciated.
  • Don't be shy on using the talk pages. It's where a lot of stuff gets decided. A good point being made can change the content of an encyclopedia depended on by many people.

From the Editor

Welcome to the second issue of The Geocaching WikiProject's newsletter! We hope that this newsletter will help members to find new things to do within the project that they may wish to participate in.

Don't be afraid to suggest ideas through the main newsletter page, or even contribute yourself. It's people's ideas and assistance that make things like this possible. Thanks for being a member of the project and please make sure it continues by being active.

This issue's contributors:

Goals of the Month (Prioritized)

The Project hasn't been really active of late, but to get it back, running again, please feel free to do one of the following:

  1. Inviting Users. Our most important task to complete right now is inviting users. Use this template.
  2. Create Templates. Create any templates you may find useful such as a userbox, etc.
  3. Discuss! PLEASE... discuss things about this project. Socializing is good!
  4. And, as always, Create Articles as listed at the Requested articles page!

Want to help on the next newsletter? Don't want to receive these in future? Other questions or complaints? - It's all here

Errors In Message Delivery

Hello, this is an automated message to inform you that some errors were encountered while processing your delivery request (WikiProject Children's and Young Adult literature Newsletter). Please deliver the messages to the following users manually, if you wish, because the bot was not allowed to do so:

New MDB Feature

Hello! I have just added a new feature to MessageDeliveryBot. It is now possible to have the message delivered on behalf of a WikiProject instead of a specific user. The user who requested the delivery will still be visible in a comment, as well as in the welcome message given to a user if the bot is creating his talk page, however, the bot's edit summary and signature will use the WikiProjects name. To use this new feature, fill in the optional 'WikiProject Name' field when making a request (leave out the Wikipedia: namespace prefix). If this field is left blank, then your username will be used to sign requests, as the bot previously did. Happy editing!

October drive

Sorry, guys. The wikification drive has been bumped to October. You might have noticed already, however. I'm amazed how many people came on as soon as I sent out the invite. With a few more, we can easily meet our goal. Just remember. Concentrate your firepower on the 2008 articles, and you should have no problems. Great work! Also, if you have time, please also invite other users to participate. Thanks!

GOCE newsletter

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors Backlog Elimination Drive!

GOCE September 2010 backlog elimination drive progress graphs

Participation report — We have 71 participants in the September drive. 95 people signed up for the July drive, and in May we had 36.

Progress report — We have been making solid progress in eliminating the 2008 articles from the backlog so far. If we continue to focus our firepower we can completely wipe out 2008 from the queue. Overall volumes are lower than expected though, with nearly a thousand articles yet to be done if we are to meet our overall target. If you have not yet participated in the drive, we recommend you do so. If each person who signed up edits one article per day from now till the end of the month we can eliminate another 1,065 articles from the backlog. All contributions are appreciated.

Announcement: credit for 10k+ articles — Participants editing a 10k word article may claim credit for two 5k+ articles on the leaderboard. Those that edit a 15k word article may claim credit for three. Regardless, the article is still counted as a single article in the tallies.

Reminder — Articles from the Requests page can be included in your tally, even if they do not have a copy edit tag. This is a great place to go if you are interested in finding a higher quality article to work on.

This newsletter was prepared for the GOCE by Diannaa (Talk), S Masters (talk),  HELLKNOWZ  ▎TALK, and The Raptor Let's talk.
