Incorrect correction

I attempted to update the album information on AC/DC's wiki page, as it was incorrect. I own a copy of their album T.N.T. which was the Australian release in 1975, prior to the U.S. compilation album High Voltage in 1976. I was accused of being incorrect and making "unconsstructive edits", which I take offence to. What is going on?

Hello, No, I don't! Please accept my apologies. You are correct. I got in a muddle. I have to blame it on my old mouse! Then one error escalated into another... I have put it back now as I and you believe it should be. Please let me know when you see this to put my mind at rest.
As for the template, we are looking into that at STiki. It should not have been issued.

An "Oops cheers!" would have been more than adequate. We all make mistakes. Some of us even have help from Huggle or STiki! Thanks for the note. Jim1138 (talk) 16:27, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Frood! I'm being told that the IP's edits to the Bonita, California page are not vandalism. Personally, I feel it is, but since it's disputable, it's edit war/3rrable. Just a heads up. I've posted on the IP's talk page. AndrewN talk 00:15, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, seemed to have gotten carried away. WP:NOT3RR allows revert of offensive language, etc. Thanks Jim1138 (talk) 00:15, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We'll see what happens at AIV. They've been reported for a while. So far, no response from them. AndrewN talk 00:18, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm so sorry for the warns I'd give you. I don't know what's wrong with my HG. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 04:42, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Earlier I tried to update the URL for this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_%28New_York_City_Subway_service%29 by putting the URL of the new location of the JoeKorNer. The original image was on this page: http://thejoekorner.quuxuum.org/rollsigns/irtend.html which was moved a number of years ago to http://www.thejoekorner.com/rollsigns/irtend.html The actual image is now http://www.thejoekorner.com/rollsigns/irtendno3.gif

I can be reached at joekor@thejoekorner.com

Sorry for the confusion.

Speedy deletion declined: Erebus haunted house

Hello Jim1138, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Erebus haunted house, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 14:21, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your input is requested

Hi, I noticed you have recently edited the Jerry Macaluso article. There has been an IP that has been constantly removing "promotional" information and adamantly wants the article deleted or merged. could you please reply to their section on the talk page of the article, input from a more experienced editor will surely help. Thanks, GouramiWatcher (Gulp) 16:18, 24 May 2012 (UTC) [reply]

Speedy too old?

I think you misunderstand deletion policy. (And don't let me being a "mere" IP editor fool you. I'm not a newbie, so please don't treat me like one.) Nothing in the policy pages says anything about speedy deletes having an expiration based on article age. The only standards are whether or not they meet certain content criteria. Though I've been around the block, I made sure to double-check that I was using the right process before doing it. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_process and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Speedy_deletion You'll find that none of them say a thing about pages being too old to speedy delete. I'm not going to put the tag back until you get back to me, because I'm not looking to start an edit war over something so silly. --76.180.172.75 (talk) 04:47, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I undid my removal of the speedy deletion template. Good luck! Jim1138 (talk) 04:49, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! Thank you for such a quick response. I didn't expect such speed (no pun) or such instant understanding. You should get a barnstar just for actually being open to the occasional trout! Lots and lots of people say they are but few follow through in true spirit. You seriously floored me and earned a LOT of respect in my eyes. It takes some real integrity to so quickly and simply turn about. Thank you again. You are one of the good ones. (Holy! You even caused an edit conflict revising to say it was done. Seriously, you deserve an award.) --76.180.172.75 (talk) 04:57, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, In STiki somehow it showed the vandalism that you fixed but showed that you caused them. I apologize. JamisonGuestbookUserboxes 11:51, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that as Coleman's notability relates to her work on abortion and mental health issues, it falls under the Abortion-related General Sanctions, and is restricted to one revert per user per 24 hours. Thanks. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 14:47, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changes on Al-Ghazali

Hi there! Have you read my comment before editing the page? Imam Al-Ghazali was an Islamic Scholar, in Islam it's forbidden taking or drawing pictures of any human beings thus, it would be rather disrespectfull from you to Him putting his picture on the wikipedia, please familiarize yourself with his works, try to understand the essence of his works that would be much beneficial to everyone, please write to me for any feedback you are most welcomed! thank you )

Please see wp:notcensored. Wikipedia is not an Islamic organization and is therefore not subjected to Islamic law or rules. Please do not remove images from Wikipedia due to Islamic "laws". Jim1138 (talk) 15:26, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
thank you Jim1138 for your reply, i totally understand that Wikipedia is not an Islamic organization, but you must understand that putting images of the people who are adherents of the Islamic faith, infringes their rights privacy, thus you cannot put their pictures without the consent of the people of Islamic faith, i hope you understand, it's you who want's to know about Imam Al-Ghazali, and it's in your interest to know more about him, but it's not permissible that you put his pictures in the public place and infringing his rights of privacy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Majilis (talkcontribs) 15:57, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note that you have exceeded this at Al-Farabi, and this is a bright-line rule. I don't think the reasons for reverting are an exception however I may fell about them, so I suggest you stay away from the article for a day. Just because there isn't a note doesn't mean its wrong.

I see you putting notes all over the place in your articles? No, you don't always put notes. I am new to Wiki so I cant put notes. http://www.cmjornal.xl.pt/detalhe/noticias/ultima-hora/jose-socrates-mais-1-ano-em-paris But this is a fact backed by the best selling portuguese news paper and I don't recall that just because you don't put a note you are immediately wrong or clipped out. That sort of low-life editing is typical of people that just life to be right, even when they're wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.155.118.126 (talk) 02:18, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That is a good start. Just put <ref>http://www.cmjornal.xl.pt/detalhe/noticias/ultima-hora/jose-socrates-mais-1-ano-em-paris José Sócrates: 1 more year in Paris (Portuguese)</ref> Wikipedia requres sources wp:rs for credibility. Unsourced material, especially controversial or unusual (Former PM of Portugal studying in France?!?) needs to be cited. Or, it will likely be removed. See wp:citing sources and wp:rs for more information. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 02:31, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Section

99.121.4.72 (talk) 02:23, 1 June 2012 (UTC)i am sorry for the misunderstanding. the reason for the deletion of certain sections of the article is because the content of them are harmful and misleading. i know this for sure because when i looked up the link that was attached to the part that said that smith's wife was wanted by the interpol, i found this to be incorrect since the newspaper article did not provide factual information and it is biased as the writer was once issued a restraining order by smith's wife once. i know that it was probably not your intention to post that type of information. please do not edit it with that section again since it is harmful and deceitful.[reply]
