Priyanka Chopra is an Indian actress, singer and songwriter. She participated in the Femina Miss India 2000 contest and won the Miss India World title.[1][2] Chopra was later crowned Miss World 2000 and Miss World Continental − Asia & Oceania.[3] During her nine-year career, Chopra has received awards and nominations, mostly in the categories of Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. She made her Bollywood debut in the 2003 film The Hero, for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the Stardust Awards. That year, Chopra won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her role in Andaaz. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role in 2005 for her performance in Aitraaz.[4]

Chopra starred in the 2008 film Fashion, winning every prominent Best Actress award in India.[2] In 2009–12, Chopra received 30 nominations and won several, including two consecutive Apsara Awards for Best Actress for Fashion and Kaminey, and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for 7 Khoon Maaf.[4] Chopra's first single "In My City", released in 2012 by Interscope Records, won her a People's Choice Award for Best International Debut and three nominations at the World Music Awards.

Film and fashion organisations have honoured Chopra. Rediff ranked her first on their 2009 listing of Bollywood's Best Actresses.[5] She was number one on Eastern Eye's list of the "World's Sexiest Asian Women" twice.[6][7] Chopra was the first Indian actress to cast her foot impressions at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, Florence.[8] In 2011, People and Maxim magazines respectively declared her as the best dressed woman and the "hottest girl" in India.[4] Pinstorm considered her the most influential Indian in the social media circuit.[9] As of January 2013, Chopra had won 58 awards from 91 nominations.

Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards

The Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards are presented by the Apsara Producers Guild to honour and recognise the professional excellence of their peers. Chopra has received three awards from five nominations.[10]

National Film Awards

The National Film Awards is the most prominent film award ceremony in India. Established in 1954, it is administered by the International Film Festival of India and the Indian government's Directorate of Film Festivals. The awards are presented by the President of India. Due to their national scale, they are considered to be the equivalent of the American Academy Awards. Chopra has received one award from one nomination.[22]
