Welcome!
Hello, SkyGazer 512, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Maltipoo have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. - Hi, Drmies - thanks for the help pages! Although I'm not new to wikis in general, some policies are different on the overall Wikiepdia than for others, so I'm still learning as I go. As for the edit on Maltipoo, the new section was mostly sourced of of Reference 3, which was already mentioned in another section, but next time I add a section, I'll make sure to re-reference just to clarify that the information came from a reliable source.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 03:14, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
List of colors by shade reverts
Reverting vandalism is an exception to the 3RR rules. The IP's edits look like vandalism to me, so you have no 3RR worries. Meters (talk) 17:32, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- Meters, thank you! Good to know. It looks like that IP address stopped vandalizing the page for now, but that's good to know for the future.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 18:18, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

- Hi CLCStudent, thanks for letting me know. I had noticed that many veteran editors with many privileges reverting this IP's talk page edits, but I guess I should have checked the Wikipedia policies before doing this myself. I'm glad to know this for the future.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 02:49, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

National varieties of English
Hello. In a recent edit to the page The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to India, use Indian English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. GimliDotNet (talk) 20:06, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- GimliDotNet, thanks for letting me know about this, and yes, you're completely right. I know the rules of British/American spelling, I just didn't realize that the word was spelled differently in British English, my bad. I really should have a chart or something for all the words spelled differently.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 20:22, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

- Hi there! I'm not quite sure what you mean by your post. If you're talking about the fact that I reverted your edit to Kamal Nath, I'm sorry about that, but if you add something huge like that he murdered thousands of innocent people, you will need a source for that. If you need help with citing, please let me know. Thank you, and please clarify your post.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 01:51, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

- Hey there, actually, we can stop you from vandalizing. If you vandalize pages for more than 4 times, you may have to be reported to admins and possibly be blocked from editing. It's not to be mean or anything, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and should be vandalism-free. However, you're welcome to make useful contributions and Wikipedia will be happy to have you.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 18:48, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
Rollback granted
Hi SkyGazer 512. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~ Amory (u • t • c) 11:17, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
- See my note at WP:PERM/R, but just remember that rollback is only for clear cases of vandalism, and make sure you escalate warnings appropriately; you should probably start over at level 1 for IPs if it's been more than a week or two since their last edit/warning. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 11:18, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Amorymeltzer, thanks for allowing me to have this right. Now I'm able to use Huggle and STiki to help detect and revert vandalism. The stuff about the starting over the warning level after a week or two is good to know; I'll make sure to do that.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 13:05, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

The edit you made was long overdue to the article, and to be honest was probably one of the most constructive edits I've seen from a newer user. Bonkuwal Discussion
So, I may have the details slightly wrong, but since I changed my vote and you withdrew the nomination, per Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion#How_an_AfD_discussion_is_closed, I think you can close the discussion at hand. It's up to you whether you wish to do so, however; were I you, I'd sleep on it, if nothing else. But the choice is yours, my friend. — Javert2113 (talk) 01:45, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Javert2113, I've been looking into this situation a bit. I think you are correct in what you said, per WP:Speedy keep#1 - the discussion can be closed if the nominator withdraws the nomination and no one votes to delete the page. I think I'm going to wait another day, and if nobody votes to delete the page then, I'll close it. Thank you for leaving me this message, and I wish you happy editing.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 02:02, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

Article ratings
My own approach has been to work on B-class or C-class articles in an attempt to shift to GA, skipping over any consideration of A-class. Currently, three successful GAs and doing prep work on a half-dozen or so before making the GA nomination. Other projects have been to delete wrong or weak content, and at times downgrade B- to C- or C- to Start. My major area of interest is nutrition, so there is a lot of garbage out there. Your efforts to improve Wikipedia are appreciated. David notMD (talk) 11:41, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- Sounds like you've been doing a lot to help Wikipedia! That's great. Honestly, I don't really expand articles as much as I probably should, I mainly just do WikiGnome tasks, such as cleaning up new pages, finding refs, and doing AWB edits, as well as sometimes reverting vandalism with Huggle. However, I do try to expand an article every other day or so. Best regards, --SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 13:06, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Fissicrambus minuellus, a moth, full body with white background.png
Thanks for uploading File:Fissicrambus minuellus, a moth, full body with white background.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 23:16, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- Whpq, I am sorry, I didn't know that a file like this would fail these criteria, despite me reading through the policy on WP:Non-free content. Could you please explain in a little more clearly what needs to be improved? Are you basically saying that any image of a species that is not extinct HAS to be free? If that's the case, I can't find anywhere on the internet an free-use image of this species, meaning that the only way to get a picture would be to find a specimen of Fissicrambus minuellus itself. I really didn't know that this would qualify for an image that could be replaced with a free image. Thank you, and sorry for any trouble I've caused.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 23:26, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- Non-free images cannot be used if there is a free alternative or if a free alternative could be created. It's the second part which is important in this case. Although you cannot find a free image, that is not sufficient to justify the use of a non-free image. Somebody (not necessarily you) could find and take a freely licensed photo of the moth. I hope this answers your question. Copyrights, licensing, non-free content usage etc. are all confusing parts of Wikipedia. Wikipedia:Media copyright questions is a good place to ask questions and get help f you run into confusing areas around media copyright on Wikipedia. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 23:35, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation, as well as the links. I guess I'll probably bring this up at WP:Media copyright questions, and make sure to not upload any more non-free images of a living species in the future. Best regards, --SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 23:42, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Some advice
I have uploaded a file onto my user page in the form of File:TeenageUnsungKing.jpg. I have stated that the image is owned by me, but bots keep coming and marking the file for deletion. You said I could come to you for advice, so I'm wondering, how can I get the bots to go away and stop spamming the page with tags about it being untagged? UnsungKing123 (talk) 14:29, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- UnsungKing123, thanks for letting me know. You don't want to make the bots go away - the bots are there for a certain reason; however, you can fix this problem by adding the appropriate license. First of all, as this is your own work, you have to decide what license you want the image under. Do you want the image's license to be so that: A) anybody can use it as long as they give credit to you and share it under similar conditions, B) anybody can use it and modify it but they still have to give credit to you, or C) anyone can use it however they want without giving any credit? I personally recommend A or B for something like this, but the choice is up to you, and let me know what license you choose and then I can help you further. Also, I'm not trying to be bossy or anything in your personal life, but I would recommend at least telling your parents that you have a picture of yourself on Wikipedia, if you haven't already (not to try to spoil any fun, just for security purposes). Thanks, and hope this helps.--SkyGazer 512 talk / contributions / subpages 15:05, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- {u|SkyGazer 512}} I think I'll just remove the image. I don't care anymore if the bots remove it. Thanks for the help, though. UnsungKing123 (talk) 15:24, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Greetings
I stated why I removed it under the summary of my revisions, the report on the campaign is not consistent with other gubernatorial election pages nor is the biology non biased. The paragraphs were not cited correctly nor are the statements made on page factual but rather opinion based. The page gives a personal perspective on the race which is biased. For instance it states Adam Putnam as a moderate yet he was rated 96% by the American Conservative Union and was one of the most partisan members of Congress. The paragraphs are not seen in other states gubernatorial races and they format should be unison Zzannoni1956 (talk) 02:05, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
- Zzannoni1956, thank you so much for letting me know about this - you are correct about this. I'm very sorry for the trouble - somehow I had overlooked the edit summary. I see that you've already re-removed the content, and I have crossed out the warning I left on your talk page and also left an additional note with an explanation. I try to be as careful as possible when using these semi-automatic tools such as Huggle, but every once in a while I do make a mistake. If you think I unfairly reverted one of your edits again, don't hesitate to let me know. Once again, thanks for informing me about this and I apologize for my mistake. The Original Barnstar | |
why my friend page should be removed ? i mean Pouya aftabi NazaninSolo (talk) 23:09, 8 May 2018 (UTC) |
- NazaninSolo, the article did not seem to indicate that the subject is important, see WP:CSD#A7. Unfortunately, Wikipedia has a strict policy as to what articles can be created or not (see WP:Notability), and a page about a "friend of yours" usually wouldn't be considered to be notable. Just because somebody has created songs and plays instruments does not guarantee notability by any means - people will usually have had to been mentioned in several secondary sources and have accomplished something significant. Also, it is generally discouraged to create articles about people who you have a conflict of interest with - for example, friends, teachers, parents, etc. (see WP:COI). Hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else!--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 23:17, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
create page
so how can i create page for Pouya aftabi ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NazaninSolo (talk • contribs) 23:27, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- Your alternate account or friend (I'm not sure which one, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those) already created the page and it was speedy deleted per WP:CSD#A7. If you want to create a page, you can search for the title and click on the dead link in the sentence, "You may create the page [x]." However, I can already tell you, there's not much point of recreating Pouya aftabi, as it's just going to get speedy deleted again.--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 23:33, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
delete page
hi i created page but deleted why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pouyaaftabi (talk • contribs) 00:41, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Pouyaaftabi: I have explained this here to your friend, alternate account, or whatever account NazaninSolo is. I see you've re-created the page now. I've quickly tagged it for speedy deletion, and it will likely be deleted soon. If the page is created for a third time after it's deleted for a second time, I (or another editor) will likely request for it to be salted. If a page is salted (the proper term is "protected from creation"), that means only administrators will be able to create it.--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 00:49, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
So how can I create it to not be deleted — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pouyaaftabi (talk • contribs) 00:55, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
- In a nutshell, the answer is, unfortunately, you can't. Wikipedia is not the place to write an autobiography, especially because in your case, you're not notable enough to be a Wikipedia article (no offense, very few people are :)). See WP:YOURSELF. There are multiple places where you can write an autobiography, but Wikipedia is just not the place. Like I've said to NazaninSolo, Wikipedia has strict policies for what subjects can be made into a distinct Wikipedia article. Think about it. If every single person in the world (7+ billion people) wrote an autobiography of themselves on Wikipedia, it would no longer be much of an encyclopedia, and instead become a place where anybody can write their autobiography, which is not what Wikipedia was (and is) meant for at all. Hope this helps.--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 01:03, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Invitation to WikiProject Portals
Hi,
I noticed your interest in portals. Here is what has been going on behind-the-scenes with them...
Currently, there are about 1500 portals, comprised of 150,000 pages in portal space, the rest beyond the 1500 being subpages. Most of those subpages contain an excerpt, copied and pasted from some article. Such excerpts never change, and they go stale over time (no longer matching the original source material).
The Portal WikiProject was rebooted on April 17th, and has grown to 68 members. We've been busy redesigning the portal model so that portals will not need all those subpages.
The design concept called "selective transclusion", which is used for migrating excerpts (moving them to the base page), does so by displaying part of an article the same as a template. An added benefit of this is that it also keeps them fresh, by always showing the current version of the content that is transcluded.
We are also working on ways to make excerpted content, and listed entries, dynamic, so that the material or links shown automatically change over time without the intervention of an editor. Selected articles, could be set up to change daily, for example, to present a different article each day. This can even be made to show a different article every time a user visits the page. Currently, we can do this from a set list. We're trying to make it so that the list is updated automatically from an external source that is regularly maintained.
Other automated solutions are being sought or developed for each section type of portals. To automatically update and archive news, did you know entries, and so on.
Once we get a fully automated design worked out, it will be applied to all the portals that do not have dedicated maintainers. This will reduce the amount of maintenance they need. A single editor will then be able to watch over far more portals than before, ideally, with each portal taking up only a single page in portal space.
The Portal WikiProject is dedicated to updating, upgrading, and maintaining the entire portal system and every portal in it.

- @The Transhumanist: thank you for the message! To be honest, I wasn't at all familiar with portals until I got involved with the "Should the system of portals be ended" discussion. They certainly sound interesting, so I'll look into them further. Best of wishes, --SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 13:01, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of Eastleigh Borough Council Page
Thanks for the message about the deletion, it would have had more content, but I fell asleep before I could finish it, and woke to the deletion.
Frankly, I don't think I will bother any further adding information.
Hammersarnie (talk) 02:23, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Hammersarnie: Thanks for notifying me here. "Fell asleep before I could finish it," LOL - stuff like that happens to all of us. I apologize for tagging it for speedy deletion - it's just Wikipedia's policies, nothing at all personal against you. Just so you know, in the future, if you want to work on a page but don't feel like expanding it right away, you can create it in the Draft namespace or in your personal sandbox. In this case, you would create as Draft:Eastleigh Borough Council election, 2018 or User:Hammersarnie/sandbox. If you create it in the draft namespace, you will be able to keep the draft as long as you want without it being deleted, as long as you've made at least 1 edit to it within the last 6 months, although note that other users may edit the draft as they like. If you create it within your own userspace, such as your sandbox, you can keep it up for all of eternity, and no one will delete it and should not edit it (many may edit it as a mistake or as vandalism, but they're not supposed to - you can also put a notice telling readers to not edit it). Once you think the draft article is ready to be moved to the main namespace, click on the "move" button, and under the "move page" text, select the "(Article)" option on the left and type the name of the article on the right (for this example it would be Eastleigh Borough Council election, 2018, see Help:Moving a page for more info). Hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else. Cheers!--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 02:35, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
- Oh, I just noticed that you're working on a new page in your sandbox right now: Three Rivers District Council Elections 2018 - good for you! Like I said, once you think that's ready to be an actual article, you can move it to the "(article)" namespace with the desired title.--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 02:37, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
Don't be so hasty. It's more fun to look for sources to try and make something work. Drmies (talk) 01:10, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Drmies: Yeah... I usually do try to make something work, but I just thought that this time it seemed pretty clear that the only purpose of the page was for advertisement and it wasn't at all notable. Just out of curiosity, how was the Isambane News article (for which you declined the speedy deletion) different from Radio 034 -The voice of the youth (which you deleted as soon as you saw it per G11)? Both articles were created by the same user, had a tone that was obviously promotional, and I could not find any references that supported either of the topics except their own personal websites and Facebook accounts, YouTube channels, etc. (none of them are considered to be reliable sources). This would just be nice to know for future. Thank you! :)--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 01:25, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- Two things, SkyGazer--tone (the one was worse than the other), but more importantly (since we're an encyclopedia), a newspaper is more likely to be important than a radio station, esp. if it also has physical distribution. As it happened--and you discovered this too--there really is nothing on that paper... Thanks, Drmies (talk) 01:35, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
Thank you!
Thank you for your comments on David Small's draft pages. I explained to the author that it was not likely that the page would be approved but they wanted to try anyways. I'm not sure what they're going to do now, most of this Author's work was done many years ago. I don't think they have any additional third party sources to use. Mauradonley (talk) 20:10, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey, Mauradonley, thanks for reaching out to me! However, it appears that if Draft:David Small (novelist) is what you're talking about, you were the author of the page. Are you sharing an account with somebody? If so, that is discouraged, and I recommend that if there are multiple people using this account, you create a separate account for each individual. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions!--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 21:14, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
No, not sharing an account and I disclosed that this was for a client. Just me. No one else using this account. They are technologically challenged and needed some help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mauradonley (talk • contribs) 21:24, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Please be careful when CSD tagging – you recently A7'd this page when several indications suggested that it was intended as an internal project-space page. If you didn't know what it was, it's always possible to check with the author or someone else before speedying it. Thanks, and keep up the good work! Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 13:46, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
I'm still relatively new at this NPP thing. Curious why you tagged Devi Alkapuri as A11 (made-up) rather than G3 (blatant hoax). I thought for A11 it needed to indicate in the page it was made-up. Obviously agree with your conclusion just trying to grow my own skills so as to be precise. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 21:29, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Barkeep49, and thanks for leaving me a message here. First, please realize that I am not an expert at NPP, and there are many users who are more knowledgeable with CSD/AFD tagging. For that page, it seemed obvious that the subject does not exist, but I wasn't quite sure if it was a blatant hoax to the point of vandalism, so I thought it might be better to tag it for A11. From what I've read, I don't think that the actual page needs to say that the subject was made up in order for A11 to apply. Now, however, the speedy deletion template was removed and the page is being discussed at AfD, even though I think it's clear that this subject simply does not exist. Again though, I'm not the best user at CSD tagging. And sorry for the late reply. :)--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 15:36, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

Dear SkyGazer 512, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, especially your recent creation of Karusasaurus polyzonus. Keep up the good work! You are making a difference here! With regards, AnupamTalk 18:40, 21 May 2018 (UTC) |
- @Anupam: Thank you for leaving me this barnstar here - I really appreciate it! To be honest, I'm pleasantly surprised with the amount of information I was able to find about the species - most animal articles I create are stubs that I can find hardly any information about, but a few (such as this one, Myliobatis goodei, and maybe one or two others), turn out to be larger. Looks like you've been doing some awesome work on Wikipedia as well - keep it up, as it's appreciated! 😀--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 18:55, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

There are also a few changes I'm probably going to do myself to the article, but they're not really a big deal. Thanks for creating pages like these - you're helping improve and expand Wikipedia!--SkyGazer 512 What will you say? / What did I do? 12:57, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the article rating
Hey I just wanted to say thanks very much for rating and upgrading The Phenomenauts from Stub class to C class. I appreciate it. I have requested re-assessments from the related WikiProjects, as well as a peer review. I am working to submit it for GA consideration in the next couple of months. --Culix (talk) 03:14, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Culix: No problem - thanks for reaching out to me! I do think that article would be a great candidate for GA, and I wish you the best of luck with that. You have been doing some awesome things to that article, and after reading it more thoroughly, I really think that it should be at least B class, so I upgraded it. You seem to be the only person who's edited that article in a long time - and a sole person upgrading an article from stub class to B class (and possibly GA class) very rarely happens and is pretty amazing - so thank you for this!--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 13:58, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the kind words! I am flattered :) Researching and editing The Phenomenauts has definitely been the largest number of edits I have made in a long time. However, it has been fun and I've learned a lot. Thank you for upgrading to B class! That is fantastic, and again I really appreciate it. --Culix (talk) 05:18, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

- @Culix: Wow, thanks for the wonderful barnstar! You're more than welcome - I'm glad you're happy that the article is now B-class. Thank you very much
The RfC discussion to eliminate portals was closed May 12, with the statement "There exists a strong consensus against deleting or even deprecating portals at this time." This was made possible because you and others came to the rescue. Thank you for speaking up.
By the way, the current issue of the Signpost features an article with interviews about the RfC and the Portals WikiProject.
I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.
Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion. Please feel free to join in on any of the many threads of development at the WikiProject's talk page, or just stop by to see how we are doing. If you have any questions about portals or portal development, that is the best place to ask them.
If you would like to keep abreast of developments on portals, keep in mind that the project's members receive updates on their talk pages. The updates are also posted here, for your convenience.
Again, we can't thank you enough for your support of portals, and we hope to make you proud of your decision. Sincerely, — The Transhumanist 00:10, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
P.S.: if you reply to this message, please {{ping}} me. Thank you. -TT
- @The Transhumanist: Thanks for leaving me the message! Yeah, many of the supporter's had good points, but after looking into it further - I thought that portals were very helpful and useful, and probably shouldn't be deleted.--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 01:27, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

- @Saqlain5: Hey there! Wikipedia is not the place to add your personal biography. It's an encyclopedia of notable people and other things, not a collection of all the people in the world who want to make an autobiography. Creating an autobiography on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged, and 99% of the time, autobiographies are deleted. In your case, there are absolutely no sources that support you as a topic - therefore, your article is not at all notable or verifiable, which are both important. Also, I wasn't the one who did the actual deleting - I tagged the article for deletion so that an administrator could review it and then delete it (only administrators can delete pages). Hope this helps!--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 12:23, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Lebenistgut. Another editor started a discussion at WP:Articles for deletion to provide the opportunity for the community to discuss whether it should be deleted or not. The discussion can be seen here. The result of the discussion was to delete the page, so an admin deleted the page, referencing the AfD discussion in their deletion summary. If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself.
from what I can tell it did not meet the criteria it was nominated for and I can see that this user did not create the article. Am I missing something? Also @SkyGazer 512: sorry for talk page stalking again sometimes I have nothing better to do. TheDoctorWho (talk) 04:44, 15 June 2018 (UTC)- @TheDoctorWho: Yeah, the WP:Deletion process#Speedy deletion specifically says, "the page must be edited to remove the speedy deletion tag," and the template says "If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice," but I haven't managed to find any place that says that only admins are allowed to remove speedy deletion tags. I also didn't create the page and the speedy deletion didn't apply; therefore, I have followed the process and haven't made up any rules either. If I'm doing something incorrectly, by all means let me know, but as far as I know, I haven't done anything against the rules. Also, I don't have a problem with talk page stalking - I do it all the time :)--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 12:21, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

- @Slotmachiner: Hey, and thanks for reaching out to me! As you can see, that's been deleted too for being too advertisement-like and promotional. If you really must create the article again, I strongly recommend following the steps that Ian.thomson told you on your talk page. I also strongly recommend stating that you have a conflict of interest with this subject on your user page, and you must disclose if you're being paid to edit. In my opinion, it would probably be better if you don't edit at all in this area, and try to improve Wikipedia in other ways. However, the choice is up to you - these are just my recommendations. :) --SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 22:09, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
