PEETHA or Peoples Empowerment - Enabling Transparency and Accountability of Odisha Initiatives, is a scheme lead by Government of Odisha to spread awareness about Government schemes and improving transparency in distribution of individual and social benefits to rural people of Odisha.[1][2]
About the Scheme
This scheme is a sub scheme of Ama Gaon Ama Bikas Yojana. This is part of the 3T initiative of Technology, Transparency and Team Work model of Odisha Government.[3]
Aim
The aim of the scheme is to organize camps each month between the date 15-20 at every Panchayat and let the people know about the different Govt. schemes and get soical sheme benefits.
Benefits
In the panchayat camps apart from the social awareness other benefits will also be provided. Some of them are AMA LED(Free LED distribution scheme), Mision Shakti, social security assistance like Madhu Babu Pension Yojana and Artist pension, Nirman Yojana[4]
Every month, the best Panchyat in each block will be awarded with Rs 5 lakh for organising this scheme.[5]
