Western Azerbaijan

Hello Kheo17. This message is in regards to the article Western Azerbaijan. Another user had deleted large part it which I restored with some minor addition. Please add more sources, especially where numbers are mentioned and should constitute facts. Thank you! Tuscumbia (talk) 14:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kheo, user Magoteers disrupts everywhere. Looks at this article where he reverts all the time dismissing third party sources: [1]. I think he needs to be reported.  Anastasia Bukhantseva  05:04, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Lost territories after 1920.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Lost territories after 1920.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Heydar Aliyev nightview.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Heydar Aliyev nightview.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 16:44, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Baku olympic stadium.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Baku olympic stadium.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Salman Gambarov and references

You created this page last week. It is referenced only to the biography on the subject's own website. Any chance you can locate some references in reputable 3rd party publications (preferably but not necessarily English language) that can be added to the biography to confirm his notability? Could other users check User:MarshallBagramyan expropriation of the entire Kars article. This user constantly erases the other versions of the name of the city Kars in other languages (Armenian: Կարս Kars or Ղարս [ʁɑɾs] Ghars, Azerbaijani: Qars, Georgian: ყარსი Kars, Kurdish: Qers, Russian: Карс Kars) , and only lets the Armenian version of the name to stay (Armenian: Կարս Kars or Ղարս [ʁɑɾs] Ghars). Unfortunately this user's ethnocentric POV pushing by ignoring the history of the city, after the Armenian era, is still allowed to stay. He even defends it in the city article talk page.

Could all Azeri users check User:Yerevanci's and User:Nocturnal781's relentless POV additions, lately in the Ermenikend article.

These users constantly change the correct article name of Ermenikend into the incorrect name of "Armenikend". Could all Azeri users prevent the taking over of articles about Azerbaijan by Armenian users with their biased nationalistic POV agenda. Hi Kheo17,

You recently removed the map showing venue proposals on the above named article, as weel as updating the image of the Crystal Hall itself. The new image is fine, but the map has been restored, as it is part of the venue decision making history, which is mentioned in the article. This is keeping in line with previous contests where several venue locations have been decided and included into the article - see Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for example. The map is still there and adds depth to the article. Thanks WesleyMouse 21:01, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Q->G

Based on what I can see about Azeri transliteration, you're correct, Q should be transliterated to English as G. Are you going to move the other rayon articles as well? --Golbez (talk) 14:24, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish help needed

Hello Kheo17, I'm contacting you because we need some Turkish translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on tr.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Turkish Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

Thank you for your recent work on villages of Kalbajar District. You fixed a lot of technical errors that I wasted ages on trying to fix! — CuriousGolden (T·C) 19:41, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! My pleasure.--KHE'O (talk) 20:54, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Liz Read! Every time you tag a page for deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD), please state this in the edit summary. Liz Read! Talk! 20:06, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
