Portal:Horse racing

Any chance you could alter the contrast between the background and text in the section headings. Possibly white text or lighten the present background. Thanks. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 22:49, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hows that look? I'm still trying to figure out if I want to keep those colors, I was going for the look of the dirt and turf, but I don't think they go real well together. Joe I 22:52, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think the shade of green for the background is good, and the white text makes it much more readable. You're doing a great job. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 23:14, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
ok, thnx I appreciate the help Joe I 00:18, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that you have made a start on the Topics section of the Portal. Unfortunately, I have also started on this section which is here. I am prepared to complete this section if you wish to work on other areas. What do you think? Regards Cuddy Wifter (talk) 09:05, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, yeah. Yours looks much better than mine, I was starting to get alittle confused on how to put things, but yours looks good. Joe I 13:35, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Searchme, please do not put the horse racing portal into a bunch of article namespaces, especially given that we don't even put Portal:Horses there! It's a nice portal, but if you notice, Portal:Horses is discreetly transcluded into the WPEQ template that goes on the TALK pages. We don't want to be putting the portal into 3000 articles, putting in on the template is way easier and doesn't clutter up the article namespace. I think you ought to put the portal into the TB horse racing WikiProject's template, so it automatically gets placed in all the horse racing articles. You can also take the portal to [{WP:EQUINE|WPEQ's]] talk page and see if we want to add it to our template also. (or as an option within the template the way we have the horse breeds task force and horse training task force tags on some, but not all articles). I'm not trying to be harsh, I just don't want to have to either add the horses portal to 500 articles or remove yours from 500 articles...the templates are a MUCH better way to go! Montanabw(talk) 03:38, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I can see some of that. Thats cool. Joe I 23:58, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Great. You're doing good work. The interaction between WPEQ and the horse racing stuff is not a direct correlation, some of us are in both projects, but not all. It's a good synergy because WPEQ could not possibly deal with all the racing sports stuff. It's a big tent. Montanabw(talk) 20:22, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Infobox note

A tag has been placed on Template:Infobox note requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts.
