The 2018 MLB Little League Classic was a regular season Major League Baseball (MLB) game that was played on August 19, 2018, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, during the 2018 MLB season and the 2018 Little League World Series.[2][3]

The game was played between the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies. It was televised on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball and MLB Network, and it also aired on ESPN Radio.[4]

Previous year[edit]

On August 20, 2017, the first MLB Little League Classic was held as the Pirates beat the Cardinals, 6–3. Both teams entered the game within six games of the wild card. The game was widely publicized for its playoff implications.
