K. K. Aggarwal is an Indian physician and cardiologist who is President CMAAO[1], President of the Heart Care Foundation of India and the Past National President of Indian Medical Association.[2] The Government of India honoured him, in 2010, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.[3]

Biography

He did his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1979[4] and obtained an MD from the same university in 1983.[5] He was a senior consultant at Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, India, until 2017[6]

He has published many books on health including Alloveda, 6 textbook chapters on echocardiography and thousands of articles in national and international press.[4][5] He is one of the pioneers of streptokinase therapy for heart attack in India and introduced the technique of Colour Doppler Echocardiography in India,[5] Dr Aggarwal has been honored with the Dr. B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category, in 2005.[4][5][7] He is also a recipient of Vishwa Hindi Samman, National Science Communication Award, FICCI Health Care Personality of the Year Award, Dr D S Mungekar National IMA Award,[7] and the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award,[7] In 2010, he received the Padma Shri.[3] He is Gold Medalist and Limca Book of record holder in CPR 10.[citation needed]

He has been National President of the Indian Medical Association.[8] and Chief Editor of IJCP Group.[9]
