Batu is a federal constituency in the Federal Territories, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 1986.
The federal constituency was created in the 1984 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first past the post voting system.
Demographics
History
2004–2016: The constituency contains the polling districts of Kampong Selayang Lama, Taman Wahyu, Pekan Batu, Taman Batu Muda, Changkat, Batu Muda, Kampong Padang Balang, Jinjang Tempatan Keduabelas, Batu Kantomen, Taman Rainbow, Sentul Pasar, Sentul Tengah, Sentul Utara, Kampong Kovil Utara, Bandar Baru Sentul, Sentul Selatan, Kampong Kovil Selatan, Kolam Ayer, Rumah Pangsa Sri Perak, Taman Intan Baiduri, Taman Beringin, Taman Million, Sentul Jaya, Taman Sri Murni, Taman Batu Permai.
2016–present:[4] The constituency contains the polling districts of Taman Intan Baiduri, Taman Sri Murni, Kampong Selayang Lama, Taman Beringin, Taman Wahyu, Taman Batu Permai, Taman Batu Muda, Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa II, Changkat, Kampong Padang Balang, Batu Muda, Jinjang Tempatan Keduabelas, Pekan Batu, Batu Kantomen, Sentul Utara, Sentul Jaya, Taman Rainbow, Taman Million, Sentul Pasar, Sentul Tengah, Bandar Baru Sentul, Rumah Pangsa Sri Perak, Sentul Selatan, Kampong Kovil Utara, Kampong Kovil Selatan, Kolam Ayer.
