The 19411 / 12 Intercity Express is an Express train belonging to Indian Railways Western Railway zone that runs between Sabarmati in (Ahmedabad) and Ajmer Junction in India.[1]
It operates as train number 19411 from Sabarmati to Ajmer Junction and as train number 19412 in the reverse direction serving the states of Gujarat & Rajasthan.
Till June 2019, It was run as Ahmedabad Ajmer Intercity Express from Ahmedabad Junction and thereafter the source changed to Sabarmati and renamed as Sabarmati Ajmer Intercity Express.
Coaches
[edit]The 19411 / 12 Intercity Express has one AC chair car, 11 general unreserved & two SLR (seating with luggage rake) coaches. It does not carry a pantry car coach.[2]
As is customary with most train services in India, coach composition may be amended at the discretion of Indian Railways depending on demand.

[edit]The 19411 Sabarmati – Ajmer Junction Intercity Express covers the distance of 492 km (306 mi) in 9 hours 40 mins (51 km/h) and in 9 hours 10 mins as the 19412 Ajmer Junction – Sabarmati Intercity Express (54 km/h).
As the average speed of the train is lower than 55 km/h (34 mph), as per railway rules, its fare doesn't includes a Superfast surcharge.
Routing
[edit]The 19411 / 12 Intercity Express runs from Sabarmati (Ahmedabad) via Mahesana Junction, Abu Road, Marwar Junction to Ajmer Junction.
Traction
[edit]As the route is going to be electrified, a Abu Road based WDM-3A electric locomotive pulls the train to its destination.
