Bakarpur is a village in Bhulath Tehsil in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Bhulath, 29 kilometres (18 mi) away from district headquarter Kapurthala. The village is administrated by a Sarpanch, who is an elected representative.

According to the report published by Census India in 2011, Bakarpur has 108 houses with the total population of 462 persons of which 225 are male and 237 females. Literacy rate of Bakarpur is 80.58%, higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children in the age group 0–6 years is 45 which is 9.74% of the total population.
