In 2014 there were 52,754 crimes reported in Nebraska, including 54 murders.[1]

Capital punishment laws

Capital punishment is legal in this state for aggravated murder.[2] On November 8, 2016, voters will decide to retain or not a bill abolishing it in a statewide referendum.
