Cucaita is a municipality in Boyacá Department, Colombia, part of the subregion of the Central Boyacá Province. It is located approximately 315 km away from the capital of Bogota. Most inhabitants are farmers in Cucaita.
Etymology
Cucaita name is an expression from the source words Chibcha CU likeness, CA fenced, fortress or royal mansion of the sovereign, I shade and TA tillage. Overall, this word means "near the seminary.".[1]
