The Digital Q1 was a FUJIFILM digital camera model announced in 2003.

Features

The Digital Q1 is a 2 megapixel digital camera. It contains internal flash memory and an xd-card slot, USB port for file transfer, and an LCD screen for image preview/review. The camera has 3 resolutions, plus a function to record compressed, low-resolution video (AVI format). It can be used as a webcam via the USB port. The DIGITAL Q1 is a low-cost, beginners model – only date and time need to be set. A 16 Mbyte xD card is included.

Zoom and flashlight

There are two zoom systems: one hardware zoom (with little effect,[clarification needed] however it turns off the flashlight); and a 4-stage digital zoom. The built-in flashlight is powered by the two AA batteries.

Picture files

The camera includes a battery-backed clock, allowing time and date to be included in the Exif record. Pictures are recorded in JPEG format, and video files are recorded in AVI format.

Resolutions

  • 320 x 200 (video)
  • 640 x 480 (low)
  • 1200 x 800 (medium)
  • 1600 x 1200 (high)

Adjustments

The Exif record includes the shutter time, which varies considerably in relation to the brightness situation. There are menu options to adjust brightness (and other) parameters, with little effect – the firmware aligns to a medium result.[clarification needed]

Reviews and reactions

Computer Active rated the camera 3 out of 5 stars, saying: "As a fun snapper for holidays, nights out, or maybe as a first camera for the kids, it has plenty going for it. Serious photo fans should keep shopping."[1]
