Harshad Chopda (born 17 May 1983) is an Indian actor known for his portrayal of Cadet Ali Baig in Left Right Left, Prem Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, Anurag Ganguly in Tere Liye and Aditya Hooda in Bepannah.[2][3]

Career

Chopda started his acting career with the role of Karan Srivastav in Mamta. He went on to play Cadet Ali Baig in Left Right Left and Akshat Mehra in Amber Dhara.[4]

In 2008, he played Prem in Star Plus's Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Arjun in 9X's Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki.[5]

In 2010, Chopda portrayed Anurag Ganguly in Tere Liye for which he won the Indian Television Academy Award for Gr8! Performer Of The Year and the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor Popular.

From 2011 to 2014, he played Mohan in Dharampatni, Raghav in Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava? and Sahir in Humsafars.[6][7]

In 2017, Chopda made his Bollywood film debut with 2016 The End where he played Rahul.[8]

In 2018, he portrayed Aditya Hooda in Colors TV's Bepannaah.[9][10]

Times of India said “Harshad Chopda is a complete natural and plays his part effortlessly.”[11] India Today said “Harshad nails his character of Aditya with some black humour and hard-hitting one-liners.”[12]

For his performance, Chopda won several awards including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actor Popular, Asian Viewers Television Award for Male Actor Of The Year and Lions Gold Award for Best Actor Popular.

Chopda was listed 16th in Times of India's Top 20 Most Desirable Men on Indian Television 2017.[13]

In 2018, he was placed 19th in Eastern Eye's 50 Sexiest Asian Men List. His chemistry with Jennifer Winget in Bepannah won them the title of Times of India's Most Favourite Onscreen Jodi of 2018.[14] Chopda also topped Biz Asia's TV Personality List 2018.[15]
