2014: Mix & Match and being confirmed as the 7th member of iKON
In late 2014, YG announced that the trainees comprising "Team B," a group which had participated in a previous reality show, would be competing in the reality survival show "MIX & MATCH" for spots in a new idol group, called "iKON." The show premiered on September 11.[3] While trainees B.I, Bobby, and Jinhwan were confirmed for three of the seven spots in the group, the remaining three members of Team B competed with three new trainees, one of whom was Chanwoo, for the four remaining places in the team.
On October 31, after voting totals were compiled from SNS, Facebook and the messaging app LINE, the confirmed line-up began to be announced. Chanwoo was officially confirmed to be a member of iKON on November 5, 2014. The group officially debuted on 15 September, 2015 . [4]
