Kongu Engineering College is an autonomous engineering college located at Perundurai, Erode district in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.[1] It is affiliated to Anna University and accredited 'A' Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council.[2]

There are 11 courses offered in B.E/B.Tech and 14 in M.E.[3]

Co-curricular and extracurricular activities are run through associations, clubs, societies and students' chapters of professional bodies. They are managed by representatives of students and are monitored by the faculty.

Campus

The institution is situated on a campus measuring 150.25 acres (60.80 ha).

Library

The college library was established in 1984. Beginning in a classroom, then a lecture hall, it now has its own building - the C.D Memorial Library, named for founder Thiru. C. Duraisamy.

Placement

The Placement Cell was established in 1998. The cell arranges campus interviews with organizations for placement of final year students, and arranges in-industry training for students. Campus placement training (HR, Technical, GD, Written Test) is given in the pre-final year for all eligible candidates.

Accommodation

The college has an on-campus guest house, alumni guest house, six boys' hostels and five girls' hostels.

In 2012 the Technology Business Incubator at Kongu Engineering College won the National Award for Technology Business Incubators, an award given by the Department of Science and Technology's National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board.[4]
