MTV Video Music Award for Best Group
The MTV Video Music Award for Best Group Video was first given out at the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards; and in 2007, going along with how the VMAs were revamped that year, the award was renamed Best Group, as it awarded the artist's body of work for the full year rather than a specific video. In 2008, however, when the VMAs returned to their original format, this award was not brought back despite being considered one of the more important ones. No Doubt is the biggest winner of this category, having won the award thrice; while U2 is the biggest nominee, with seven of its videos receiving nominations in six different years from 1985 to 2005. The last award was presented in 2007 to Fall Out Boy.
TLC was the first and only girl group to win in this category twice with their videos "Waterfalls" (1995) and "No Scrubs" (1999)
