Template:Ancient Near East portal Nanum or Nanium was a king of the Akkadian Empire who ascended the throne in 2257 B.C.. After the death of the previous ruler of Akkad, Shar-kali-sharri, he jockeyed for power with three other rival kings: Igigi, Imi, and Elulu. The four kings ruled as a tetrad for an estimated three years, creating a great deal of confusion over which of them held legitimate power. His reign, and those of his rivals, ended when Dudu seized control of Akkad.
