Ramidi is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Ramidi. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[2]

Demography

According to the report published by Census India in 2011, Ramidi has total number of 418 houses and population of 1,949 of which include 996 males and 953 females. Literacy rate of Ramidi is 78.50%, higher than state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 172 which is 8.83% of total population of Ramidi, and child sex ratio is approximately 933, higher than state average of 846.[3]
