The Samsung Galaxy A6 & Galaxy A6+ are Android high to midrange smartphones produced by Samsung Electronics. It was announced on 2 May 2018 it was first released in Europe, Asia, and Latin America the same month, then released in South Korea, Africa, and China. The Galaxy A6+ is rebranded in South Korea as the Galaxy Jean & in China as the Galaxy A9 Star lite.

The Samsung Galaxy A6 runs on Android 8.0 "Oreo" right out-of-the-box, running with Samsung Experience 9.0. It has a 16MP camera on both main and front cameras. It has a 5.6" Super AMOLED Infinity Display and with a 1,480 x 720 pixels resolution. It runs on a Samsung Exynos 7880 Octa with an Octa-core 1.6 GHz Processor. It has a 3,000 mAh Battery, but no fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A6+

The bigger variant, the Galaxy A6+, sports a 6.0" Super AMOLED Infinity Display with a resolution of 2,220 x 1,080 pixels. It has a 16MP main camera and a 5MP depth camera on the rear while a 24MP camera on the front. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 and an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Processor. It sports a 3,500 mAh but still no fast charging.

Critical reception

On May 1, 2018, CNET spoke positively about the cameras on the phone. CNET described the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ as for users who "like Samsung's designs but aren't all about the cost that comes with the Galaxy S9 and Note 8."
