[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: 80 Days (2014 video game) was not moved, per consensus. 80 Days was moved to 80 Days (2005 video game). Also, I have created a dab page at 80 Days. (non-admin closure) Natg 19 (talk) 00:25, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
– The 2014 video game '80 Days' should be the primary article. According to guidelines on determining a primary topic, it has higher relevancy: It has far higher wikipedia traffic statistics according to http://stats.grok.se/ (averaging around 100 views per day compared to around 25 for the 2005 game). According to Google News results, it features several times when searching for "80 Days", whereas the 2005 game doesn't feature at all. In main search results with a personal bias switched off, it appears in the vast majority of results, except for the first, and some news articles about a broadway production. Additional notes: the company's official page for the 2005 game states that it is no longer available for sale, making it less relevant. The 2014 game has won and been nominated for numerous awards and has a score of 88 on Metacritic (iOS/android page), while the 2005 game has a Metacritic score of 58. 213.106.112.252 (talk) 09:26, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose/support move the 2005 game, but do not move the 2014 game. Instead create a disambiguation page, since Around the World in 80 Days is also called "80 Days" in some places. -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 11:22, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose/support move the 2005 game, but do not move the 2014 game. Instead create a disambiguation page 80 Days with the 1997 Marillion single "Eighty Days"/"80 Days" from This Strange Engine as the third item and the "80 Days" erotic novels of Vina Jackson as the fourth item. - Oppose/support per above, when considering Around the World in 80 Days and other topics. —BarrelProof (talk) 17:00, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

Clarified potential miscommunication
[edit]I decided to edit the lead a little in order to clarify what the company Inkle actually was. Upon continuous readings, I realized that a person who's reading it for the first time may not immediately know what Inkle is and may not be bothered to follow the links to find out more.
The original text read: "80 Days is an interactive fiction game released by Inkle for iOS platforms on July 31, 2014 and Android on December 15, 2014."
The modified text now reads: "80 days is an interactive fiction game released by the video game developver and publisher Inkle for iOS platforms on July 31, 2014 and Android on December 15, 2014."
This should provide a bit more clarity for those who are simply pursuing the article. EverFortuitous (talk) 02:07, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Wouldn't it be more concise to say: "80 Days is an interactive fiction game developed and published by Inkle..." instead? TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 18:03, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
