Hisako Uno SasakiAkira Hokuto — Per WP:NAMEPEOPLE the article name should be her best-known, most-searched, commonly-used name. Even the article's intro paragraph says she is "better known as Akira Hokuto". I realize she has wrestled under other names, including her birth name, but it seems clear from a quick google search that the Akira Hokuto persona has dominated. The only argument against this might be if she is well-known today in Japan by her legal name, but I'm not familiar with that. Geoffg 08:16, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources and other improvements

[edit]

I tried to improve the page by adding sources, some material on her post-retirement life, and changing references from "Sasaki" to "Hokuto" since she is much better known as Akira Hokuto and not her real married name Hisako Sasaki. Pure Josh 19:20, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for those sources. I agree with the name change. - Geoffg 22:24, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sexism?

[edit]

Why does her opening paragraph have to include who her husband is, but Kensuke Sasaki's page doesn't mention her in his opening paragraph. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.151.191.126 (talk) 23:00, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this is unbalanced. If the two of them are a famous enough celebrity couple these days (in Japan) that the casual reader would mostly know her because of that, then that should be in the opening paragraph of both of them. Otherwise, it's not significant enough to be in the header, in my opinion. Personally, I would assume the casual reader of the English-language Wikipedia probably knows her best from her wrestling in the 90s, not from being married to Kensuke Sasaki. - Geoffg (talk) 02:54, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
