Fair use rationale for Image:Bwalshcov.jpg[edit]

Image:Bwalshcov.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:45, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

This article needs lots of references, if you can help, please post here. Even if you're not sure where it fits, we can probably use it somewhere. - Thanks, 94.171.75.101 (talk) 08:57, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is indeed a large amount of unreferenced information here, in fact most of it. I'm going to try and add some references. There is a Biography page at Bradley Walsh's official website, but I'm going to avoid that as it's not really a neutral source. Seaweed (talk) 13:26, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rumours regarding Doctor Who[edit]

While nothing is confirmed yet, does it warrant mention that the Radio Times has discussed media rumours regarding Walsh being the next Doctor Who companion? ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 21:19, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

8 March 2019 episode of The Chase - Walsh said he had never played for Dunstable Town[edit]

Although on 8 March 2019 episode of The Chase Walsh said he had never played for Dunstable Town. (hidden)<--In a conversation with contestant Matt, 34 from Dunstable at the start of the program Walsh stated "Never played for Dunstable Town in my life, or if I did, I don't remember it." Wikipedia entry from Revision as of 23:30, 30 March 2012 is an unsourced entry about his football career - Media stories may all date from after this entry - see WP:CIRCULAR-->

I have put in the above comment as a stop-gap whilst trying to find out if any media sources pre-date the wikipedia entry. I watched the program and then the first few minutes of the hour later repeat and Bradley Walsh was amused that his "career" and record at Dunstable are so widely reported but it does amount to an exceptional piece of misinformation that has stayed on wikipedia for nearly seven years. BorisAndDoris (talk) 19:13, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Current source for Dunstable appearances was added Revision as of 13:11, 3 January 2018 from a news article dated 23 October 2017 - already five years late and there is a media tendency to use wikipedia as an uncredited source. BorisAndDoris (talk) 19:45, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed a "citation needed" tag for the content in the info box relating to his games and goals for Dunstable Town. If no citation is forthcoming soon, perhaps his games and goals for Dunstable should be removed from the article. Regards, Kind Tennis Fan (talk) 23:06, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have now removed the details below which were added either Revision as of 14:43, 6 February 2012 or Revision as of 23:30, 30 March 2012. The invented Dunstable career was slipped in with some more reliable info, as was the unreliable school information. BorisAndDoris (talk) 17:14, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

At school, Walsh showed a particular interest in sports and media, and passed O-levels in both subjects. He was also a prominent member of the school's football squad, scoring 64 goals during his time there.

Separate ankle fracture injuries finished his career in the game in the early 1980s after a loan spell with non-league Dunstable Town, for whom he scored 15 goals in 25 league appearances.

Media articles from 30 March 2012 onwards may be suspect as reliable sources as the information they contain may have been derived from this article and a tendency of many media sources to cut-and-paste stuff from wikipedia into their own articles without checking facts. BorisAndDoris (talk) 18:15, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've raised this at WT:FOOTY. Nzd (talk) 11:56, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If he says it's not true, and we can't find any reliable sources to verify it, then remove it. The infobox should be re-added, however. GiantSnowman 19:30, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There are no reliable sources for the infobox other than the unconfirmed information in the Brentford v Chesterfield 1995 programme, so I left it here until sources can be found. BorisAndDoris (talk) 13:15, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is this page on what seems to be his official webpage. It mentions two years at Brentford and no first team appearances. Not sure it warrants a football infobox.   Jts1882 | talk  14:11, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have amended the comment on this page as agreed in WT:FOOTY discussion. Hope this is acceptable to everyone here. BorisAndDoris (talk) 15:55, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Irish descent or Scottish descent[edit]

This article puts Bradley Walsh in the category "English people or Irish descent". In the article, we read that his mother was Scottish, not Irish. Vorbee (talk) 18:53, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

unsourced biographical information[edit]

hey kids, we noticed this is missing some citations for some of these biographical information about a living miracle person. before re-adding, please find time to properly source and cite. thanks for helping. SkidMountTubularFrame (talk) 17:54, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blankety Blank[edit]

This article says that he was the presenter of Christmas one-off of Blankety Blank. It should now say he is the regular presenter of this. YTKJ (talk) 20:05, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
