article assessment
[edit]1. The article has reliable references, as they are mostly statistics from valued sport websites. 2. The article has a lot of information on Babstock's career as a Quinnipiac Bobcat, however lacks information on her NWHL career. Also, there is no information on her background as a person or her life outside of her hockey career 3. Some references are out of date, or the page does not exist anymore. Specifically the references that come from Quinnipiac's website. Also, some points in the article are out of date. Laura Gregory Lauragregoryy (talk) 20:41, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]article assessment
[edit]1. Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference? The facts referenced within the article are generally reliable. However, some of the facts from a specific source are not reliable. The article “Canadian Kelly Babstock Invited to USA Hockey Camp for IIHF Worlds” under references is a blog post, therefore, it may have sources that are not reliable and readers will be unsure whether or not the facts were taken from credible sources. The rest of the sources in the article are reliable.
2. Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article? Most of the citations within the article about Kelly Babstock do work. However, citation number 13 is not active. There is no plagiarism or close paraphrasing within the article, and all references are cited correctly.
3. Is any information out of date, is anything missing that could be added? Most of the information provided about Kelly Babstock is up to date, considering that the references retrieved are relatively recent. All of the references have been retrieved between 2012 and 2018. However, the article only has minimal information on the athlete, including just her playing career, her awards, and honours. Therefore, many things can be added to strengthen the article. Since the information focuses mostly on her playing career, it could include more things regarding her personal life, more specifically, information about her high school career and childhood experiences. Furthermore, it could include information on the position she plays, whether she has played forward during her whole career or if she has played any other positions.
