In English, from the official report of the 1992 Olympics, the list of competitors includes an "O Song Chol" in the North Korean boxing team [1], while the name of the person who defeated A. Rasoanaivo is listed as "O Song" in the match results section [2]. While Korea Today mentions a boxer by the name of "O Song Chol" in 1991 [3]. In Korean, the Kyunghyang Shinmun report from the 1992 Olympics mentions that the North Korean delegation had a boxer by the name of Korean: 오성철; RR: O Seongchol; MR: O Sŏngch'ŏl[4]. Meanwhile the only hits in Google Books for "O Chong-chol" are about a politician from Hamhung[5], while Naver News Library [6] has no relevant hits for "boxing" (복싱) or "Olympics" (올림픽) combined with either name that might be transcribed as O Chong-chol in Romanization of Korean (North) (오종철 O Jongcheol or 오정철 O Jeongcheol). 61.239.39.90 (talk) 04:03, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
