[edit]"Orlandon Jordan stands as the longest reigning United States Champion, not only in WWE history, but in the last decade."
Not only in the whole history, but also for the entire last decade?? I thought it was the other way aorund. Year -> decade -> history...
No, it's not the other way around, since "the last decade" is a longer period of time since the U.S. Title has been in WWE. It used to be the WCW U.S. Title and even before that the NWA U.S. Title.Politician818 04:48, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Anyone got a picture of Orlando that we can use? ekedolphin 04:04, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]Why woule he be related to Jordan Orlando, they have different last names. That just because their names are the opposite doesn't make them related. That's just dumb Ganley894 04:14, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Bisexual Character
[edit]Please cite sources as to where you heard that Orlando is allegedly playing a bi-sexual character. Also, is it true that he is bi-sexual in real life? Jdotpitts 20:08, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
There were plans for Orlando to participate in an angle where he was bisexual, though nothing has come to fruition as of yet... Oh and if there were 'rumors' that he was bi in real life, those claims were started by members of the IWC who are secretly in the closet. Matt
That transexual angle was going to involve Trinity and CM Punk. But now it has aparently been scraped. fishhead2100 April 29, 2006 4:01PM (UTC)
On his Myspace page he claimed to be bi-sexual and had several disturbing pictures with another guy. JamX3K
Orlando Jordan's bisexual has been confirmed via RFVideo.com, Orlando's interview with Keith Boykin, EDGE New York City Contributor, in the past is Myspace account. With was confirmed has the leek in Orlando's interview with Keith Boykin. Meojive 13:08, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Looks like he's going to participate in a bisexual angle in TNA. On last night's show, he came to the ring for his match with Samoa Joe with a man and a woman accompanying him. Brighat 15:02, February 19, 2010 {UTC) —Preceding undated comment added 20:02, 19 February 2010 (UTC).
Date Of Birth
[edit]Anyone got any reliable info regarding his date of birth? Cos WWE magazine and various websites list it as April 21st, yet on here and IMDB.com it's put as mid-July... I wanna know cos I'm taking a 'happy birthday Orlando' sign to a Smackdown house show this week...
I can't find a site that states it's April 21st. Do you have a link? Meojive 13:00, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Finisher
[edit]Can someone cite the source where they found OJ's latest finishing move the name and the fact of using the fameasser.
- I always thought OJ's Reverse STO finisher was called the "The Best Move Ever", which was a play off of Christopher Daniels' "Best Moonsault Ever".
Is that encyclopedic?
[edit]"In other news, Orlando Jordan just got seen with Chris Kanyon walking into the New York City Hilton."
I also haven't heard that part about Tatanka before. Umdunno
Age
[edit]Orlando is listed here as being born in 1971 but his category says 1981. Which year is it really? 69.137.234.44 22:33, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
I can assure you 1981 is not correct and I am skeptical about 1971 as well. Orlando Jordan did win a Virginia AAA State Championship in 1993 (Senior Year), so an educated guess puts his birth year at 1975; with 1974 and 1976 also being remote possibilities.
- Virginia AAA State Champions by Year (Orlando Jordan 1993, 189 pounds) - http://www.virginiawrestling.com/aaaindychamps.html
IMDB and www.obsessedwithwrestling.com has Orlando Jordan's birthdate has 10 July 1971, Salem, New Jersey, USA

Garbage inserted into article
[edit]I deleted the paragraph about Orlando being seen in a hotel with Kanyon. It wasn't cited, and, btw, Chris Kanyon isn't even gay. He has a gay gimmick.Politician818 04:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Actually, like me, Chris Kanyon is gay and he has announced that it isn't just his character who is gay but him also. So if your going to say that kind of stuff you might want to get your info right.--The Sess 19:31, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Politician818. I couldn't find a scr stating this has fact outside idle gossip forums. Meojive 12:37, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Can find info on the below:
On June 26, 2003, Jordan made his first SmackDown! appearance as a face at Madison Square Garden against heel John Cena.
When Booker T got injured half-way through his Best of Seven series for the United States title, he needed a replacement to face Chris Benoit. As the series was at 3-1 to Booker, Booker T only needed his replacement to win one match in order to become the United States Champion. Orlando approached him about the position but Booker T and his wife Sharmell laughed in Orlando's face and made jokes about Orlando's quick tap outs to Benoit.

do you have a source it might be worth adding --Robin Halvorsen (talk) 20:14, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
DOB
[edit]When was this guy born? The article says September 4, 1976 in the lead paragraph and in the infobox. However, one of the categories is 1971 births and the first link says July 10, 1971. B-Machine (talk) 19:42, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Orlando Jordan confirmed on Twitter that his birthdate is April 21, 1974. 174.62.102.119 (talk) 12:14, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

I'll review this article shortly. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 17:09, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Here are the problems with this article:
- The lead needs to be expanded.
- There are a few references that are just urls and titles; publishers, accessdates, etc. need to be added.
- Citation needed tag needs to be addressed.
- The independent circuit section is unreferenced.
- The prose in general isn't too good, and perhaps more importantly, there's a few spots where there are definite errors. I'm not listing every example, but here are a few:
- "Jordan lost the title to Warrior on August 21, 2005 In Barcelona." This is in the 2006-10 section, so either the year is wrong or it's in the wrong spot.
- "Jordan Did Participate in the APA Invitational Bar Brawl in Vengeance Which Bradshaw Won, It Happened When Nunzio Used a Black Blanket Around His Face And Chuck Palumbo Smashed His Face With a Broken Piece of Wood." huh? Confusing, uncited, and I have no idea why nearly every word is capitalized
- "He went out on a date with a male hair stylist from LA. He drove his Black Lamborghini and took the Stylist on a shopping spree in South Beach Miami." I'm not really sure what place this has in the article, and if it is that important, then the grammar needs to be fixed (L.A., stylist, 'Beach, Miami'
- The infobox birthdate is April 22 while the lead birthdate is April 21
- Was he in OVW or any developmental territories at all? right now it just jumps to 2003 without anything before that
Once all this is fixed, I would ask that you put this through peer review before returning to GAN. In the meantime, I'm failing this article as a GA since there's a lot to fix yet. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 17:53, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

- I would ordinarily quickfail this article for having citation needed templates and fully-uncited paragraphs.
