Rachel FinnisRachel Brown – She is keeping her maiden name for football, like Julie Fleeting did. Page apparently moved without discussion. 176.253.6.41 (talk) 19:46, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brown-Finiss

[edit]

Hey name has been Brown-Finnis since her marriage in 2013. That is her own choice and the name used everywhere else, including in her work for the BBC (search their site!), media reports, her own Linked-In page, etc.

A real encyclopaedia would have corrected this years ago, even with the delays involved in printed media. 81.158.65.120 (talk) 07:22, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Article name should be change to Rachel Brown-Finnis

[edit]

This has been her chosen, correct name since her marriage in 2013. I have provided 13 reliable references above. There are at least hundreds more easily found from a search on her name on the web.

I have updated the names in the body of the article and am recommending that the 10-years-overdue chenge should be made to the article title. 81.158.65.120 (talk) 09:03, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the template found at Wikipedia:RSPM and follow the instructions there. That way other people can support/oppose the move during the discussion. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 13:53, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps someone who has the knowledge and authorisation could do this, in the interests of improving the article. 81.158.65.120 (talk) 21:19, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted the change to the name in the article, as most of the refs listed there use "Brown" rather than "Finnis-Brown". However, I'm adding the requested move tag here: Tacyarg (talk) 11:51, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
