Referencing - book chapters[edit]

The subject appears to have two book chapters - one dedicated to herself (chap. 9 of the book Blumenfrauen) and one on perhaps her most prominent arts-and-garden/-park project (Arts in Place) and I will use these more fully when I secure full texts (I have access only to snippets and samples to date). The text from the book Blumenfrauen is available to read on the subject's practice's website, so no need for help on this; Arts in Place appears to be held in only one general library in Ireland, so I may eventually get to it there. Other improvements[edit]

This new article would benefit especially from cited additions including:

  • a quality personal picture, and 1-2 suitable photos of productions - update: I have taken a few shots of two former sites, and the Drumcondra one has imagery on Commons already,
  • a little more early, and later personal, life data, incl. well-cited confirmation of birth year,
  • more on academic work, notably any formal papers,
  • something on work on play facilities - there seem to be several works but citations lack,
  • more on the apparent involvement in horse / pony breeding / showing, etc.
  • clarification on a few possible items thrown up by Google and other searches - membership of the landscape architecture organisation (definitely the case over years, but not found now), tenure on Dublin City Arts Office panel of artists (2011?, 2011-2015?), an international garden design competition in Vienna.

  • New article and plenty long enough. No issues with sourcing, neutrality, copyvio, etc. No images. QPQ is done. My one issue is with the hooks - they're wordy and not terribly exciting (and the dismantling part of ALT0 is not discussed in the article.) Perhaps something like that Sophie von Maltzan led the making of a submarine which was walked through the streets of Dublin? That cuts it down to the actually intriguing part. Many thanks, and also for the hint on where to source an image in Flickr, and I will check that source and Commons one more time, as an article on such a person would be better with imagery - there is material on one pocket park, and there should be something out there on the Art Tunnel, which was pretty prominent for a while (but early in the digital mass era). I have also asked a new editor who may have some knowledge of or connection to the subject if they could help with photos. On the dismantling, I will address this, as the sources do cover it, but anyway, I am happy to offer an alt on the lines suggested, as indeed, the key is the intriguing idea of someone making tunnels and submarines in the heart of a modern city. I now have some images and will add them during Saturday; there is also a photo of the submarine sculpture on Commons but I don't think it's good enough for DYK, and I'm not even sure if it suits the article. Hi Pi.1415926535, and sorry, a busy few days, but I have made some updates to the article, pulled in some pictures, including from your tip, brought the Tunnel's dismantling into body text, and offer alt hooks (as Alt0a and Alt1b) along the suggested short-and-focused lines. @SeoR and Pi.1415926535: unfortunately, I do gotta be a hardass about this one – taking the hook from a YouTube video with a couple of views and not having an independent RS to back it up seems like it'd fall afoul of WP:ABOUTSELF. Other articles[edit]

Hi Wikipedia, this is a good article, but could you also do articles on the actual projects, at least the Smithfield Art Tunnel? And the little Granby Park off Dominick Street. Those two were a step in a new direction. And should there not be an article on community garden projects in Dublin, such as Mucky Lane, the several projects on the Grand Canal, as well as Finglas and more? Thank you, and sorry no one replied earlier. This article was going through a review process for a mention on the main page of the encyclopedia, and I was trying not to revisit it unnecessarily during this. I agree that both the Art Tunnel and Granby Park probably had enough coverage to be notable enough for articles, and I can put them on my list of potential future works, if no one gets there sooner. An article on all the community and pocket park / garden projects could also be a useful way to handle this topic area, as I believe that by now there have been quite many relevant initiatives. This is actually a topic I mentioned earlier on this page, as I encountered passing mentions of it, but I did not find a substantial account of it, and we are very careful about what goes on biographical pages.
