Lists[edit]

This article contains several comparative lists, which are essential for understanding what the term Utility Group means. The terminology used in dog Breed Groups is based on historic usage and the needs of individual kennel clubs in different countries around the world. Group names do not necessarily reflect dog breed types. Groups are not scientific classifications. What is important for this article to cover is to compare the ways in which breeds are arranged, in the Utility Group and other Groups, and how the Utility Group compares to similar Groups under other kennel club rules. This is best done with comparative lists in addition to the explanatory parts of the article.--Hafwyn (talk) 17:06, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
