Infobox stats
Please note that we only include domestic league games in the infobox - so no Cup or Continental matches etc. Please also ensure that when you update the stats you also update the date, using ~~~~~. If you have any questions please ask. GiantSnowman 21:48, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
@User:GiantSnowman he played today against those who shall not be named in a league game. I forgot about the date thing, fair point, my bad. Abcmaxx (talk) 23:06, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

WP:AFC Helper News
Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.
- AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
- The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.
Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Club badges
Hello. Rather than upload badges in jpeg format like this, I would recommend saving/uploading them as pngs, with the background made transparent. You can do this via online converters (google "make png transparent") which will remove whatever colour background you want. Also, you should be aware that you cannot upload badges that are more than 100,000px in size (316x316px if a square one), so you need to resize before you do so.
Can I also recommend that you crop the badge images so that there is not a large amount of space around the badge.
And finally, might be good to do some quality checks on what you're uploading. This one is missing the bottom part of the crest. Cheers, Number 57 22:14, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Number 57: The Astra one is off its official page, I'm not for me to say whether it looks wrong or not. The bot automatically re-sizes them if too big and quickly too. I understand all the points but these were quick fixes, better such a crest than no crest at all, most of them get altered or replaced by better ones by other users who are better at this. I was using the mobile so I had no idea what format those were either. Abcmaxx (talk) 22:21, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Of course it's wrong – it's missing the bottom part. There are plenty of full versions of the badge like here. It's also off-centre due to having an uneven amount of whitespace on either side. Can I suggest that you don't upload these while you're on your mobile and wait to do it on a laptop so it can be done properly? Number 57 23:01, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages
Thank you for your recent articles, including Initiative for Poland, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You can also use a friendly script for that. You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:08, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
Aside from the fact I wasn't blindly reverting since when blocks are handed out without warning and indiscriminately? Abcmaxx (talk) 04:35, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I agree that a warning would have been nice, but you've been around here a while, and it had been about four hours since the last revert, during which you'd been editing another article, and so under those circumstances, some sort of post-violation finger-wag would have made a mockery of the rule. The evidence was and is there; it would look ridiculous if we blocked edit warriors only when we had warned them in time (I should add that I myself have blocked a number of editors over the years after the fact, sometimes a couple of days later, for 3RR violations. We say it's one of our few bright-line rules; we have to mean that.
I'd also note that you had about an hour afterwards to revert yourself, as policy allows for editors who get carried away and caught up, but you did not.
And there are quite a few other situations in which we can and have blocked without warning. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:36, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- It was only about half an hour since the last revert - it's the timestamp of the block, not the appeal, that's relevant - and there are numerous 3rr warnings throughout Abcmaxx's talk archives. You don't get a new one each time you breach 3rr. —Cryptic 11:19, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- "Numerous", the very fact you're digging through archives means its clutching at straws here. Regardless all of them resolved without the need for a block. Abcmaxx (talk) 11:42, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- just looked and this is just a lie. There was 1 block attempt which was reverted almost immediately and the last "warning template" was in 2017. Absolutely unnecessary, I thought admins were to help not impede. Abcmaxx (talk) 11:54, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

Abcmaxx/Archives (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I really believe this not only heavy handed but unjust. Calling me an edit warrior over a minor incident; I strongly object to this, even if you do consider that one instance "an edit war". The block is from the whole of Wikipedia. Also I had "1 hour to revert myself"; really is that a reasonable amount of time? If you felt that strongly about it you could have posted on my talk page and I would have obliged. Having a track record of throwing bans about is not something to be proud of. This going to be my last request as not to abuse the process, but I would some better reasoning than "here's a rule, I can block because of it, so I do block every time, indiscriminately". I'm not even to go into the fact that I do not believe it was "substantially the same revert". It's really testing my appetite to contribute if that is how disputes are now settled. Abcmaxx (talk) 09:54, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I've reviewed your block and it seems justified to me. You clearly reverted three times, with no attempt to discuss the issue on the talk page. Blocks are not there to punish, but to protect Wikipedia, and in this instance the block has done this. You do not state why you need to be unblocked - if it is to go back to the page to make your change again, then unblocking you will only cause further disruption. If you intend to edit other unrelated pages instead, then a wait of 24 hours will not harm anyone. — Voice of Clam 15:16, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
It is punishment, and nothing more, and a heavy handed one at that. Abcmaxx (talk) 15:43, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
