{{MBTA-stub}}
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 00:37, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Jeopardy! logo
I reverted your change of the Jeopardy! logo. Since a logo is trademarked and by definition non-free, no version of this logo can be considered anything but fair use. Robert K S 02:31, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Returning to this topic... Please read the guidelines at Wikipedia:Logos and note in particular the guideline "Usually, the current logo should be the logo presented. When a historical logo is used, the caption should indicate this." The trademark and copyright status of the two versions of the Jeopardy! logo being equal (i.e., non-free fair use), why would you choose to change to an older, generic form of the logo rather than the most recent version as called for by the guidelines? Robert K S 22:23, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- The logo has not changed at all, I simply wanted to include a raster version of the logo itself, rather than a screenshot capture of the show's title screen that features the logo. The logo between the two is no different except for its color, and the color can easily be changed in the version I have added. –Dream out loud (talk) 00:25, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- That reasoning makes a lot more sense than any purported difference in the copyright status between the two images. On aesthetic grounds, however, I still prefer keeping the a season-to-season logo in the Jeopardy! infobox. The raster logo doesn't represent how the show uses its logo present day--it's much more reminiscent of the Jeopardy! of 1984. Robert K S 10:59, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:East Side Story.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:East Side Story.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:05, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Mbta-logo.svg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mbta-logo.svg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Unspecified source for Image:JTA_Skyway_train.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:JTA_Skyway_train.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:36, 1 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 00:36, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dreaming Out Loud (The Radiators album), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Dreaming Out Loud. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:55, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:MGM Grand logo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:MGM Grand logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. This page clearly backs me up on trademarking of the SEPTA logo, and thus is my basis of changing it back to the Logo. This is irrespective of trademark. Read the second paragraph here. It says: The SEPTA Logo is a registered trademark of featured words or symbols, used to identify the source of its goods and services.. Thus, the TRADEMARK mark that I put is valid. The same note has been placed on the image discussion page, with the same reference. Please do NOT revert it.

Re: Image:US_Helicopters_logo.gif
Im not sure why you tagged Image:US_Helicopters_logo.gif as not having a rationale-- it is and has been labeled with {{Non-free logo}}, which is an acceptable fair use rationale with the accompanying description "US Helicopters corporate logo, from www.flyush.com. Fair use is asserted in the US Helicopters article only". I haven't removed your no rationale tag pending your review, in case there is something im missing here. Re: Orphaned non-free media (Image:Pink_Floyd-Animals-Frontal-300.jpg)
What is the difference between Image:Pink_Floyd-Animals-Frontal-300.jpg and the image the replaced it? I don't understand why this swap was made. / edg ☺ ☭ 21:55, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- No big difference, it's just that there were two album covers uploaded to Wikipedia. One was used in the Animals (album) article, and the other was used in the four song articles. I re-uploaded the one used in the four song articles to a smaller resolution version, and replaced the one image in the album article instead of replace the other images. Having two of the same non-free images is against policy, so I simply used the one I uploaded to replace the second one. –Dream out loud (talk) 21:58, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay. For what it's worth, I resized most of the album cover images for Pink Floyd album articles a few months ago. Where album covers are used for album tracks, you can probably find an already-resized version in the album article. Incidentally, use of album cover images for articles on songs may be questionable fair use. / edg ☺ ☭ 22:04, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

EasyJet Capitalisation
Should the capitalisation note be on this article- it fits with the capitalisation requirements in reference to brand names, CamelCase is allowed where it is in common use. I assume that you put it there due to the easyJet capitalisation. Hiddenfromview (talk) 18:38, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- CamelCase is allowed, but the first letter should always be capitalized, despite how it is spelled by the trademark owner, except where there is a single lowercase letter prefix. Hi, sorry I'm no longer active on Wikipedia. If I recall, this image was related to a copyright issue I dealt with when I was responsible for email to the Wikimedia Foundation. I don't have access to OTRS any more (or if I do, I don't have the inclination to wade thorough it any more), so if you want to follow up on this you will need to talk to someone who does. They will be able to confirm my recollection that PD permission was given by the image author. From what I remember, that was on the page at the time, but it looks like that template has been changed. Regards -- sannse (talk) 17:53, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

I created the image. Did I not state that on the page of the image? Now I'll have to re-upload it, if I find the time.
Allixpeeke (talk) 22:35, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Just because you created the image doesn't mean you own the rights to it. For example, if I create an image of a movie screenshot, the copyright still belongs to the movie's studio, despite I created image. It is important to display where the image came from, so the image's copyright status can be determined. I only tagged the image for deletion, and am not responsible for the actual deletion of the image. If you have an issue with why the image was deleted, then contact the administrator who deleted image on the image's log page. –Dream out loud (talk) 17:32, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you take a screen shot of an image that someone else created, then you did not create it, you simply copied it. An image I create comes from my head, and it is the same head which determines the copyright status. No, I'll just have to re-upload it someday, if I ever find the time. No need bringing administration into the matter.
- Sincerely yours,
- Allixpeeke (talk) 06:09, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from 2002. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:34, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Query
Hi Dream out loud, can you do me a favour and watch IP 198.7.241.92's contributions to the U2 page? The IP keeps adding harmonica to Bono's role in the band. I've explained to the IP on both the article's talk page and the IP's talk page that consensus has stated the information should not be included, although the IP continues to add the information. I've issued a 3RR warning to the IP, but unfortunately I can't report the user if the information is readded as I am also in violation of 3RR at the moment from my constant reversions. - No problem, I can take care of that for you. –Dream out loud (talk) 20:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Last Train to Trancentral - EP.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Last Train to Trancentral - EP.jpg.
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 03:47, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Userbox
I just noticed now that you removed an image of Pluto from my userbox. I could care less, but the thing is that that was a pre-made userbox that I took from one of userbox template section of the page. I hope you have removed the image from there too? Mr. Vitale (talk) 19:22, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I removed the image from all pages, except the four articles which have a fair use rationale on the image's page. –Dream out loud (talk) 01:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
en dash in Metro Sta. names
I noticed you changed the title of several Metro station articles to change hyphens to en dashes. I don't think this is correct but before I start moving them back, I wondered if you could explain the moves. Thanks. --D. Monack | talk 20:32, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- I moved all the articles to pages with dashes because the same was done to all New York City Subway stations. A dash is appropriate when showing the relation between two things, such as the name of a metro station like Van Ness–UDC (Washington Metro). A hyphen should only be used for hyphenated compound words, which only appears in one station: U Street/African-American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo (Washington Metro). "African-American" is a hyphenated compound word, so the hyphen is appropriate, but in all other cases, dashes should be used. See also WP:DASH. –Dream out loud (talk) 22:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
It is fixed now. αѕєηιηє t/c 13:04, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:U2vid_zootv.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:U2vid_zootv.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 22:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
