Speedy deletion nomination of Segayoz Eyakuguka
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Segayoz Eyakuguka, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Amon Ashaba Mwiine moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Amon Ashaba Mwiine, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 14:34, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
Musoma Central Forest Reserve moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Musoma Central Forest Reserve, is not suitable as written to remain published. It is written in a promotional tone, and needs more inline citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Mirrors
[edit] Thanks for contributing to the article Draft:Musoma Central Forest Reserve. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. [edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
- I find this ridiculous and false accusations, do you have evidence that I have a financial stake in my edits and falsely suggesting for me to adhere to the paid editing disclosure requirements which I don't entertain. For the best of my knowledge Wikipedia is a free platform for free knowledge sharing and it's one of the reasons I contribute to it. Every edit has a reference, I propose if you find something that you find inappropriate you can as well contribute by either removing the edit or improve it. Fiktube (talk) 05:41, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- You ignored disclosure requests posted by Onel5969 and continued your prior editing pattern, hence the block. The specific evidence that I’m concerned about is that you have claimed File:Makerere University School of Women & Gender Studies 23.jpg, as your own work. Can you clarify what relationship you have to Amon Ashaba Mwiine, the subject of said photo and of a significant amount of your editing activity? signed, Rosguill talk 16:56, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- How did I ignore something I did see, I've actually just seen this because you have talked about it. Personally I don't have any attachment with the people I write about, my role has only been trying to have Ugandan notable people on Wikipedia that's all. Anything different from that am not accountable for it. Fiktube (talk) 18:33, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Correction "Something I didn't see" Fiktube (talk) 18:34, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- You are expected to read and respond to communications on your talk page before continuing to make related edits. Moreover, the fact that you reversed the move of the article to draft space means you were in fact aware of the situation. You can make further appeals through a formal unblock request by following the instructions in the block template above. signed, Rosguill talk 18:48, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

Fiktube (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I was blocked for a claim of being paid to edit, which I totally disagreed with. Been blocked since which has stopped me from contributing to free knowledge on Wikipedia, I kindly request to be unblocked so that I can continue contributing to free knowledge
Decline reason:
This unblock request shows no level of self-reflection as to why your conduct was inappropriate - you say you "totally disagree with" the original block decision. Daniel (talk) 10:31, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
What is your connection to Mr. Mwiine? You took a picture of him and appear to have had access to him at an event. 331dot (talk) 12:36, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- He was part of a panel for the conference that was celebrating 30 years of existence of the school of women and gender studies at Makerere University which had other members across the globe, so that photo was taken during the conference where I took the photo from. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fiktube (talk) 15:27, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
