D'Amato[edit]

Thanks for adding sources to the Joe D'Amato article. I'm glad its being expanded outside the few English book sources I could find through amazon and google. Is the book source you are using Italian by any chance? If it is, I just want to note that in the article. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:12, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for appreciating my work. Yes, it is in Italian. I will have to rearrange some of the information in the article in order for it to make sense, so I'll put Porno Holocaust back with the Carribean films where it belongs. I'm adding more sources and content as I go. I feel passionate about D'Amato, I'm a collector, have seen most of his movies. It makes me sad that much of the information on the web and even in books is so full of mistakes that are perpetuated. I hope to remedy that by using what I perceive to be trustworthy sources.

I would suggest sticking with what sources state and bring up inconsistencies on the talk page. Be sure to add sources at the end of every sentence so we know what we are referring too. Some sources can not be possibly including information you are talking about such as Best Worst Movie, which was sourced to a book from 1995. Over a decade before that film came out. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:43, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I think I'll give up on this. It is frustrating to have one's changes reverted every other sentence. If you need a source for establishing a link between a film about a cult movie and the movie itself, then I'll give up this wiki-ing.

I'm only editing content where you have not provided a source. I encourage you to add information where you can, but just make it source you stick to the sources and avoiding original research. The links I have provided present some rules here. Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:00, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the links to the rules. They explain your deletions and corrections. I will abide by them henceforth.

D'Amato[edit]

Thanks for your hard work on the D'Amato page. Your work is greatly valued having sourced that are not readily available to others. Just a few suggestion on how to tidy up some of your wiki edits.

  • Don't forget to call all movies films.
  • Try not to use contractions or short forms (i.e: Say United States or United Kingdom instead of US or UK) and say "D'Amato did not..." instead of "D'Amato didn't".
  • When citing page number. Try to be specific. There are large chunks of edits where the pages strum between 186-192. Its better to suggest individual pages where this information comes from.

That's about it! Keep up the good work! Andrzejbanas (talk) 22:30, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

deleted[edit]

I think some guy deleted all the copyright dates and other info you added to the umberto Lenzi page recently. It looks like every one of the dates you added to the page were all vandalized in one swoop. You might want to take a look.68.129.15.71 (talk) 16:56, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

oops just noticed above that you already had some bad experiences with the same person. Now your Lenzi contributions are erased. I feel bad for the people who spend so much time trying to make wikipedia better only to see all their work deleted in 2 seconds. It's heartbreaking.68.129.15.71 (talk) 19:12, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Emanuelle's Revenge[edit]

Do any of your books have any information on Emanuelle's Revenge? I'm particularly interested in a release date if possible. I have tried expanding that article in the past without much luck outside a Monthly Film Bulletin review. :) Andrzejbanas (talk) 20:41, 8 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've added some information from my sources; sadly, a release date is not indicated. All my sources have 1975 as date, though, so that might have been the release date - probably in November or December, after the film passed censorship. But no certainty. Death Smiles[edit]

Good edits on the Death Smiles on a Murderer page. My only suggestion would be to shorten the plot. Per WP:FILMPLOT, film plots should be under 700 characters long. Yours currently is a little over 2000. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:45, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • In the case of this film, I would invoke an exception. As it says on the page you linked, "The summary should not exceed the range unless the film's structure is unconventional, such as Pulp Fiction or Memento's non-linear storylines, or unless the plot is too complicated to summarize in this range." That is actually the case with this film, as the plot is completely disjointed by its numerous disorienting flashbacks, and full of different plot ideas that are not followed up upon. It seems like several movies have been crammed into one. In this case, I think there is real value in a more lengthy write-up. Still, thank you for pointing out the irregularity. I will attempt to shorten a few parts where I think it is possible.--Flickyard (talk) 12:33, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Barbara Cupisti in StageFright.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Barbara Cupisti in StageFright.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:25, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Mondo cane[edit]

Bye, Your request is comprehensive. I've various paper certificate related as Cavara principal director of Mondo cane: David of Donatello, Cineriz subscrission in which Cavara is mentioned as unique director (the same for Donatello's). I've necessity of time, to scanner these documents and reproduce them in this page. Neverthless see Fogliato's biography "Paolo Cavara, gli occhi che che guardano il mondo" and "Il Mondo cane di Paolo Cavara" in Loparco's biography of Jacopetti. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.156.195.167 (talk) 18:10, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, and thank you for the time to make your point. You do not need to reproduce, scan or upload documents. You simply have to source your information with a citation in the article (including page number if possible). Since this is a controversial issue, the more sources you give, the better. Flickyard (talk) 06:51, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Flickyard, if you are agree I can make here (in this page) different citations "word to word" for private documents of 1 page and the same for citations on books. So you can tell me if all it's ok for editing, and how to make new inserts for Cavara'biography. Or would you prefer another solutions? I wait your answer. Thanks to you and pardon my english. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.38.4.99 (talk) 17:12, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi again, "word by word" citations are not necessary, but would be helpful if the sources are hard to access or find. If you plan to provide them, I recommend using the article's talk page here: Talk:Paolo_Cavara (If you post them here on my personal talk page, people interested in Cavara will not find them.) If you want, and if you do not want to do it yourself, I can then include your sources in the Paolo Cavara article for you. Your English is perfectly fine. Do not worry too much about language if the information you want to cite is relevant; if there are mistakes, people will correct them. This is the great thing about wikipedia collaboration. Flickyard (talk) 08:18, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks indeed! Yes, Not too long I'll write on address you evidence for my request. Then I'd prefer if you can discuss and include sources on Cavara's article for me. Best wishes. Pietro — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.39.181.59 (talk) 15:03, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
