Orphaned non-free media (Image:Furtherfield.png)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Furtherfield.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:50, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Furtherfield[edit]

If you believe that the deletion discussion was flawed you can request a review at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Alternately I can move the deleted content to User:Frock/Furtherfield for you to improve before moving it back to the main article space. If you simply recreate the article without addressing the concerns of the deletion discussion it will be subject to speedy deletion. Let me know what course you would like to pursue. Eluchil404 (talk) 20:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

great, thank you - i responded to this on your talk page where my original plea is - not sure what the protocol is in where to reply - but anyway yes please move the content to my user page & i will improve it (when i get some time ... ) Frock (talk) 04:16, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the confusion and not getting back to you. The article was deleted by admin Thingg (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) after you recreated it based on [[WP:SPEEDY#G4|speedy deletion criterion G4}} meaning that the page had previously been deleted based on an AfD discussion and the new version didn't address the problems that led to deletion. I have moved the page to your userspace as you requested. Eluchil404 (talk) 20:14, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

After reviewing the current version of the article, I would say that G4 probably shouldn't have been applied. Since you added a number of new sources to establish notability. You may wish to list the article at WP:DRV to get consensus before recreating again. I don't know much about the subject so, I'm reluctant to make a tfirm decision on my own. UpStage[edit]

I'm sorry, I've only just seen your question on my talk page. I'm afraid I can't remember anything about this article, but in the deletion log there should have been a reason given for its deletion. There was probably no discussion. Deb (talk) 13:10, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Maybe you need to read the rules on creation and deletion of articles before you get aggressive about it. Deb (talk) 12:13, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Incidentally, below is the content I deleted - are you quite sure this is what you meant?

This article is about UpStage artistic platform. For other uses, see upstage.

UpStage is an open source venue for online performance.

No content in Category:Internet Art[edit]

Information icon.svg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Internet Art, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Internet Art has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Internet Art, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Disambiguation link notification for July 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alan Sondheim, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Providence (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:00, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gretta Louw[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gretta Louw requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.grettalouw.com/cv.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
