Disambiguation link notification for September 17
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Antonio Margarito, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Larry Dixon and Rodney Jones (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Manuel Ramos (boxer) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Eeekster (talk) 21:37, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Jose Manuel Ramos
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jose Manuel Ramos, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Jethro B 00:12, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Jose Manuel Ramos, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:24, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

- Although I've declined the speedy deletion of the article, please keep in mind that the article is still at risk of being deleted by some other method (such as proposed deletion). Please add some text to the article (it should probably begin with something like "Jorge Juarez is a Mexican boxer ...") and also provide sources. Please be mindful of WP:MOSFLAG. There isn't any national representation in any of the matches you listed, and thus the use of the flag icon is inappropriate. It is also unnecessary to wikilink every single occurrence of a word (such as "Mexico") in an article. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 18:25, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

Using of flag icons in articles is to be done only in accordance with the guidelines in the Manual of Style. There is no way in which boxers meet those requirements, outside of the Olympics (and adding a flag in front of a location is just dumb). In addition, you restored section titles with capitals, also in violation of the MoS, and you re-added wiklinks around "USA" and "Mexico", in violation of WP:OVERLINK. Now, need I add that simply undoing someone's edits the way you did it, without edit summary and without hitting "undo" (you wanted to make sure I wasn't notified?) is just plain rude? Thank you. Jorge Juárez
[edit]Proposed deletion of Jorge Juárez
[edit]The article Jorge Juárez has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not a notable boxer. Lost 18 out of 29 professional fights and Saúl Álvarez is no longer undefeated. For almost two years the article didn't even have a lead. --José Gnudista (talk) 18:46, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. José Gnudista (talk) 18:49, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Infobox dates
[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions was not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.
You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update=
or |pcupdate=
parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update=
or |ntupdate=
parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 14:43, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alfredo Zuany, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Chihuahua and Corpus Christi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 16:04, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Steven Gerrard, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:19, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
