You're welcome :). I noticed the IP hopping and figured that was the best recourse. Have a good one! Pinkadelica (talk) 07:12, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

East Village
Hey, thanx for asking, and i think that is a good idea to change its name to just San Diego. I dont know if the English Wikipedia allows u to change the name of a "neightborhood" to just The NAME and the CITY like East Village, Manhattan, because i know that in the Spanish Wikipedia you dont need to add the name of the state if it is just a neighborhood, by just adding the name of the city is all right. Anyway, have a nice day!--Vrysxy ¡Californication! 20:06, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

In recognition of your faultless Twinkle and Huggle work over the last few weeks (and somewhat overdue recognition at that!) THEN WHO WAS PHONE? (talk) 13:38, 7 October 2008 (UTC) |
Hey, I just wanted to tell you, good job on the Complete Auto Transit, Inc. v. Brady article. I had actually been meaning to write an article on this case, but you beat me to it.
Drop me a line if you need any help on anything. --Eastlaw (talk) 08:41, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've been here for quite a while, and I can tell you that learning the ropes vis-á-vis writing articles takes a while. But don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. If you take some time to look at the better, more detailed articles in any particular category, it can give you some idea of how to write an article on a similar subject.
- Incidentally, one of the tasks I've been working on for the past couple of months is sorting various SCOTUS cases onto their one of the appropriate Lists of United States Supreme Court cases. I don't know if you would be interested in helping me with this, but if you are, let me know. I've already gotten through most of the original list, but people keep writing new articles all the time, so it's kind of like being on a treadmill. --Eastlaw (talk) 08:54, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, would you mind taking a second look at this revert? My reading of it is that someone had at least removed vandalism even if they didn't know how to fix it - I concede that my knowledge of Stuart is history is sketchy but "he made love to the citizens with big heads"? ϢereSpielChequers 16:36, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's all true. I assure you. Actually, I made my reversion based on the IPs former edit. I assumed he/she made an editing test (the 'w", and was asking for help fixing it. I changed my message about using the sandbox to an apology and some tips. I did check the reversion history, but did not go far back enough. Thanks for pointing that out. Big head people are attractive, however. XF Law talk at me 17:07, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- OK, easily done and neatly remedied. I thought it might be something like that, and as a somewhat bigheaded person I can't dispute the latter comment! ϢereSpielChequers 07:50, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry. I made things right, I hope. I'll go back to article writing. XF Law talk at me 10:34, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Flexible metal conduit
Thanks for restoring the text with this edit. I didn't realize I had removed it when I added the image. I'm pretty sure it's flex conduit, but I'm not even an amateur on the subject of shielding. Based on the research I did on commercial cites, this is what matched the descriptions. Feel free to remove. XF Law talk at me 02:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Myself, I would be reluctant to add a picture of something I didn't fully understand to the Wikipedia. I would find it quite unusual for an electrical contractor to use so much flexible conduit in a parking garage. I suspect what the picture shows is armored cable. The difference being, a flexible conduit has the wires pulled in at the job site, whereas a cable has the wires built in at the factory. Because of the expense of the material and labor, you would not ordinarily find long lengths of flexible conduit used in buildings. Previewing your edits before you save them is always a good idea, as I have proved to myself hundreds of times. --Wtshymanski (talk) 16:05, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I did do as much research as a layman could. The wires are not part of the flexible conduit. I looked all over the net and I was confident enough that the picture I had taken reflected this particular conduit. Yes, the preview button - that time, I failed to see what I was removing. Thanks for the reminder. XF Law talk at me 01:13, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Knotts Halloween Haunt
The transformation of Knotts Halloween Haunt is nothing short of amazing. I am very interested in Halloween articles, and I'm terribly excited that you took something godawful and made it so much more encyclopedic. This is my first time, but . . .

Halloween
The response to my Wikiproject proposal has been underwhelming thus far - folks are more than happy to say "that idea sucks!" if they wouldn't help regardless, but it's tougher to find people that will pony up some effort. Feel free to add to that particular debate, or we can just team up with Walloon and make it up as we go along!--otherlleft (talk) 00:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

I think of it as a child of both Holidays and Horror, so I think it would be reasonable to include certain horror films. The organizational guide warns that we shouldn't include articles that aren't likely to be supported by the project, which is why it's important to define its scope clearly.
In other news, another user supports the idea! --otherlleft (talk) 19:10, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Re: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Menace_Dement
Actually, I closed it with a consensus to keep. Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:07, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Whoops, my mistake entirely. I intended to close as keep, but it seems I accidentally pressed "Delete" on the AFD-closing script. My apologies, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:15, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Heh. One would think it would require a pint or two for me to close an entire AfD incorrectly! :-) –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:18, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
