Commander GAR

Commander (song), which I passed for GA, has been sent to GAR. Its entry is here. Adabow(complain) 08:17, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Well..

The other person started it, so you should be talking to them, not me. Georgia Peachez (talk) 02:02, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Well you already know that I could careless. I won't lose any sleep over it. I've done anything wrong, i'm just reverting the obvious. Georgia Peachez (talk) 02:13, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Clarification

Thanks for your contribution. Just to clarify, since I recognize you had a question about it. After I began to nom James Wright for deletion I had a second thought that perhaps the more appropriate first step would be to prod it. That, as you know, is an easier deletion effort to delete, as all it requires is one editor to !vote no. So I went back, and sought to prod it instead of AfD it, requiring myself to go through a likely extra step for deletion. As it was bereft of refs, and I could not find ones reflecting notability, I thought it would ultimatey end up at AfD, and take a bit longer, but thought that the more appropriate course. You then stepped in and completed the AfD process, so rather than cause confusion I just accepted that. Anyway, I hope that clears up the mystery.--Epeefleche (talk) 09:25, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Ciara discography

Thanks for the corrections! Candyo32 21:19, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing the talk page! Lol I couldn't figure out how. & I'll make fixes on Ciara discography soon. I searched all over the internet for a decent source for the three unsourced videos as a featured artist, so I guess I'll have to end up removing them. Btw, can you check out and see Return the Favor and Turnin Me On? I'm going to do Knock You Down next, but not right away, I have a few other projects I want to get done before I start on it. Also could you give your opinon here? Candyo32 02:17, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
The only minor things I see is I would put the DVD in a table. Also for her solo singles, this may just be my personal peeve, but since it is her solo single, I would add Ghetto to the intro, as well as Everywhere We Go, possibly. I think you probably shouldn't but the highly unsuccessful collaborations in the lead but Separated (Remix) and "Here We Go" could be mentioned in the lead. Candyo32 20:57, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Oops, & I almost forgot "Released outside of US" and "Release in North America" is kind of redundant since it is stated that "-" denotes songs that did not chart or were not released in that territory. Candyo32 21:00, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
One more thing, again Lol. On Kelly's site now fans can submit there suggestions for the album title now, so I presume Kelly Rowland title has been scrapped. Candyo32 21:08, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Kelly Rowland and Katy Perry

Not to be rude, but my edits for her album were correct. If you report to her website, kellyrowland.com, and watch some of the interviews, she states that the album is currently untitled and that it will be changed (the title). Also, her album will not be released in September. If you Bing/Yahoo!/Google her name, and scroll through the news articles about her, many of them state that the album has been delayed from September to mid-Fall. Though I shouldn't have put November as a release date, mid-Fall is November.--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Alright, to be quite honest, I haven't been a user of Wikipedia very long, but I do know that Wikipedia is not the kind of encylcopedia where articles are "just left" unless edits are absolutely needed. If the album is untitled and the album has no official release date, then shouldn't her page say that? I mean, to be honest, I see nothing wrong with keeping the album page Kelly Rowland-titled, but it should at least state in the article that the title is subject to change and that there is no official release date as of now.--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

http://www.eurweb.com/?p=36603 http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/rowlands-album-pushed-back_1154257 http://www.teenmusic.com/2010/07/19/rowlands-album-pushed-back http://www.rttnews.com/ArticleView.aspx?Id=1361523 http://www.singersroom.com/news/6056/Kelly-Rowland-Needs-More-Time-New-Album-Pushed-Back There are your "3-4 sources" (5, actually) for the delay. And here is a source for the untitled album (watch/read the interviews): http://www.kellyrowland.com/ --Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

And that's "quite alright"? I didn't say I didn't know how Wikipedia operates, I'm just saying that I haven't been using it very long. Kelly Rowland's page needs quite a bit of updating (both her career and third album's pages). And also, if you may know, why doesn't Katy Perry's new album Teenage Dream have a page? It has a hit single that's been released, a second single about to be released, a cover released for both singles, release dates for both singles, release date for the album, cover for the album and tons of info on recording. That, about her page, confuses me.--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

In her recent interviews, she explicitly states that the album will not be titled Kelly Rowland. She also WILL be delaying the album. It needs updating. If you won't allow it, I will do it and add reliable sources that I have found. Not to be rude, but you don't run Wikipedia.--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

I've already provided you with the sources above. And also, do you know anything about Katy Perry's second album's article? --Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

All the sources state that "the album was due for release on 21 September but the Kelly needs more time for recording and it is now due for release in mid-autumn." And also, answer my ? about Katy Perry!--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Oh sorry...I wrote that about my ? above b4 I saw that you had already answered that.--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Okay, can we at least then say in the album's article's release history "Fall 2010"? And just outta curiousity (this has nothing to do with Wikipedia), have you suggested a title for her new record on her website? ANd what do you think of the new singles?--Solotwilight (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Alright, sorry. Thanks for the help (still trying to read about Wikipedia and fully understand it all). And I agree with you (sorry for my silly questions). Anyways, thanks (and I apologize for all my confusion throwing on you) --Solotwilight (talk) 16:43, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw that. Kind of funny that that came up RIGHT after our discussion.--Solotwilight (talk) 16:43, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

That is extremely true, I can see why you didn't want to change it now. And I think that was the higher powers LOL. Um, I think that the second and third are way better than "Commander". I like the dance vibe of "Commander" but I don't think it sounds like Kelly. Like, she isn't the kind to write songs that don't have much of a meaning and I don't think "Commander" has much of a meaning. And I LOVE "Rose Colored Glasses", but I don't see it going over. "Grown Woman" will probably be the most successful of the three efforts because it kind of is like her Ms. Kelly roots...but I think it's kind of an amateur single...I don't know...I like "Rose Colored Glasses" the best. Oh, I recently did a LOT of editing on Shontelle and created No Gravity and I was just wondering if you think I should edit anything? --Solotwilight (talk) 18:22, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey

Hey, just so you know (im not aware if you are "watch/stalking" my page so just letting you know) ive left talkback on my page. Also, i see you've nominated Kelly Rowland discography for FL status. I just finished a revamp of Kesha discography and although she only has one album released do you think it would be appropriate to list for FL? I dont see anything regarding the guidelines that would say it cannot qualify because of its extension of work. Whats your view? :) (Also, so lame Kelly's album got pushed back, ive been waiting for ever for it) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 23:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi.

The articles is very good, i rate it a B but lacks authorship, is the only thing missing.Zidane tribal (talk) 00:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

3 Words

Hey, just a few questions/comments.

  1. Chart performance should be above the Music video section.
  2. The Music video section
i) Merge Concept and "The music video was directed by Vincent Haycock in the week begining 19 October 2009.[13] It premiered on 27 November 2009.[14] The video was described as being distinctly different to that of previous single "Fight for This Love".[15]" and rename it Background and Concept would probably be better.
ii) There should be a Synopsis section.
  1. Audio sample should be how you had it before, theres nothing in MOS saying it cant be, otherwise we wouldnt have Music video pictures cause they shorten the length of the text as well. :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 01:14, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
  • During the peer review for I Am... Sasha Fierce it was said that text should not be squashed between two objects. However if you don't feel its in issue I don't either. If someone complains later its easily rectifiable so I'm not fussed really.
  • Ok I've done the best I can with the info available for the synopsis. --Lil-unique1

I just read the review, they were actually referring to the image and linked to WP:MOSIMAGE which says nothing regarding the audio sample. And if your saying that there is no references available for the Synopsis section, they dont need references. See GA Avatar Plot. Its the same thing. When describing a plot references arnt needed as most of the time they arnt available. (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me

Ah right no problems then. Well I've shimmied some of the information round and now I think the synopsis serves its purpose no? P.s. you forgot to sign your last post =(
Hahahahah, ive gone back and signed it lol. And it looks good. I will begin a thorough review and it should be up in the next hour. (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 01:46, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Lol ok. No problem. I'll problem review any comments you make tomorrow now.
You have a coding error on ref 31, its in red, hard to miss :) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 01:54, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Resolved.
Hey CLK, I've sorted the two new active issues. Hope your happy with the results.

Well well well, looks whos forgotten to sign 3 times now, tisk tisk :P And yes the article is looking good. Ill review it furhter as soon as i can, just finishing more corrections to Kesha Discography. (You have responses on my talk page) (CK)Lakeshadetalk2me 23:47, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Re Shakira Tour

What are you talking about? Have you even looked at my changes to article? All I've changed is the link to English language article for one of her concert venues. But twice you have reverted them for no reason. Before you revert my changes again, look at them. Patken4 (talk) 01:21, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

July 2010

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Grown Woman. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 17:30, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

When a sysop closes an AfD after the full week, reverting is not the correct thing to do. If you feel that the sysop incorrectly read the consensus expressed in the debate, take it to WP:Deletion review. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 02:00, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I nominated it for deletion here, since you were the previous one who nominated it I thought you should be warned about the second nomination. Dramadeur (talk) 20:18, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Taio Cruz

Hey Lil-unique1, Just to let you know I actually work for Taio's management company He's asked me to update his wiki page to straight out a few facts that keep getting brought up in interviews ie his YOB, writing/producing credits etc. He's written/produced songs for the following artists - Usher, Leona Lewis, Sugababes, Kesha, Justin Timberlake, Cheryl Cole, Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls, Kylie Minogue, McFly and Alexandra Burke (as well as his own). There isn't currently info to back all this up online, although there seems to be a lot of 'sources' that are completely false, I'm honestly just trying to keep wiki a true account of his life and credits... I'm trying to get it changed on his record label's page (Island) as well as All Music, Billboard etc, but in the meantime please stop blocking me. I'm not trying to 'vandalise' the page, quite the opposite! Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucyboots123 (talkcontribs) 11:48, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Lil-unique1, Seeing as you're a major contributor can you please help update the photo on Taio's homepage? Thanks

She Wolf (song)

I'm not excited one way or another. Before the song by Shakira I wouldn't have objected to a redirect at "She Wolf (song)" pointing at the Megadeath album. If there had been, then doing the page as a disambiguation would have been pretty normal once the Shakira song came along. As long as the disambiguation is done correctly, I don't mind having it.—Kww(talk) 03:26, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't have created it. There's just a difference between "I wouldn't have done that" and "I'm going to argue to get it to be my way."—Kww(talk) 03:34, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
I won't argue against you in discussions. I just don't foresee this becoming a widespread problem, and if it does, we'll have to figure out where the line is.—Kww(talk) 03:51, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Update

Kelly's been pushed back a week to November :( But Taylor Swift's was that week too, so it may be a good thing lol. And the front isn't looking to well for the singles. Especially RCG. Grown Woman was looking promising but it's fading away. And Ciara C-Error is just as bad. Although it hasn't been confirmed it seems that she will not be on Usher's Hot Toddy any longer. I'm hoping its not true, an unfinished demo with Ester Dean vocals leaked yesterday and some are saying she is still on the official version but others are stating she's not on it. But she should be giving live performances of "Ride" soon, and although it dropped four spots on the Hot 100, it is up to #4 on the R&B chart, and is her best peak since Promise in '06! Gimme That needs to come like now. Candyo32 17:10, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I was just going to work on Versus in my sandbox, but then asual a rampant fan. But Rap-Up did cosign the track listing. And blogs and fansite were reporting Gimme That was going this week, but I've checked all Mediabase reporting sites and none list Gimme THat as going for adds anytime soon. Yeah, Kelly Rowland is like Mya this time around. But yeah if Ciara is featured on the song, it could really booost her. Well it has been officially confirmed Hot Toddy is going to radio August 9th so I guess we'll find out then. If only Basic Instinct could have kept August 25, if indeed she is featured to build up promo. But w/Kelly, she should have just stuck with one US lead single. Beyonce is really the only artist who has successful done dual singles with Single Ladies/If I Were a Boy, Diva/Halo, Sweet Dreams/Ego. But its not working for her, but not even her Ne-Yo has started off rough with Beautiful Monster, but his urban Champagne Life is doing better. Candyo32 17:22, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Amazon confirms, Hot Toddy is soley Jay-Z as featured :(. Candyo32 05:35, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Kelly may be proving me wrong. RCG has finally moved in to the mainstream top 50. But its moved only under a hundred new plays, so its staying power is undetermined now. Also, GW might be proving me wrong also its in the urban top 40, but is still only moving under a hundred new plays. And for some odd reason it's not even in the top 50 of the Rhythmic airplay, and it seems like that would be its best market. Candyo32 17:05, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Rose Colored Glasses (album)

You clearly ignored WP:BEFORE on this one and clearly didn't even try to check for sources. Just because it's unsourced doesn't mean it should automatically go to AFD. How about doing a little source digging next time. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 18:03, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

  • You obviously skipped step 9 then: "When nominating due to sourcing or notability concerns, make a good-faith attempt to confirm that such sources don't exist." I would think "this album has three charting songs, two of which went to #1" is a valid assertation of notability; and if such a claim were unsourced, I'd think to check it out and see if any sources correlate that. I've expanded the article with a few reliable sources, and would like to know what you think of it now. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 18:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
  • I highly doubt that the song will never have an article. I'm finding plenty of sources on it too. I suggest that you withdraw the AFD. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 18:28, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
  • I was about to create a new article on the song, actually. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 18:34, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
  • However the song is just a song on the album. Its not a single and so it is unlikely to be notable. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 18:36, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
  • It was too a single. The Whitburn source in the article verifies that it went to #5 on a major singles chart, which is a pretty good assertation of notability. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 18:45, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for being so snarky toward you about the whole thing. As an aside, country music articles are among the least worked-on articles on the whole project; if you think the notability of a country music article is in question, maybe you could run it by me and see what I can do with it. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 19:45, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. It's a bit easier to write a sufficient length article on newer songs, since they're more likely to have been covered by easily accessible websites as opposed to a print source that might not be quite as easily found. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 21:19, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
I already did: Rose Colored Glasses (John Conlee song). I think it asserts sufficient notability for the song itself. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 21:26, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Actually someone else took care of most of those. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 21:40, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Question

You may have done it and i simply missed it but i dont recall, did you make that correction to Kesha discography? Also, if you could take a look at Your_Love_Is_My_Drug#Music_video and Take_It_Off_(song)#Music_video as ive just written/expanded them. Lemme know if you notice any errors, if ive written it, i can re-read it 100 times and wont notice a spelling or grammar mistake, if its someones elses work ill notice on the first read :P - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 02:34, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi CLK. No I haven't done it yet. I will do it tomorrow/later today (depending on which timezone your in lol). I'm having a bit of love-hate with Wiki at the moment so you'll notice that I'm either editing a lot or none at all. I will do all three things for you tomorrow hopefully :) on glace the two new vid sections look good :P. Are you keep well? --Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:39, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Hahah, you can check my userpage for my time. Its 7:50pm right now where i live. Yeah ive noticed you havnt been that active the last few days, any particular reason? And thanks, Take it Off took friggen forever, the synopsis was a indescribably hard (amazing video though, ive watched it like 100+ times already). And im good thanks, i actually just got a kitten last week, 8 week old female ragdoll, looks like this but the orange parts are mocha colored. How have you been? - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 02:46, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Aww the kitten is cute :P My parents won't let the family get one because apparently there's no one too look after it. *eyes roll* Yeah i've been quite ill recently. It started last year - when it changed from spring to summer I got CFS and its happened again this year. I'm just tired and really cranky all the time. At the start of the week I had to trek back to my university halls to finish packing up the last of my things and move them into my new apartment so didn't have time to come on really. Few personal things going on too m8 which always makes everything else seem worse. I havent watched the "Take It Off" video yet. I think imma getting a little sick of everyone doing dance and electronic music lol. I think it suits Kesha but now everyone is working with David Guetta and RedOne for this hip-new electronic sound and to be honest its all coming out the same. Dedication though... you must be the wisest person on here when it comes to Kesha!--Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:53, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Hahahah, yeah i had to bug my mom for a long time, she has two stupid chihuahua's, i cannot stand them, most annoying yappy things on earth. Sucks about getting sick, feel better :). And moving is such a pain, always. Kesha it really suits, im so excited for her next album. But electro-pop is my favorite music genre so that could have something to do with it. Although im not a huge fan of Redone, all his stuff sounds the same, i could see how your getting tired of it. And ive liked her since before she was famous, i went to her concert in like 2008. Her articles are my main ones, i archive everything so they wont ever get demoted. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 03:03, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Lol. I've looked at the two Kesha songs for you and I very much like the articles though I would be careful about using stacked images as they could easily be deleted per NFCC#minimal use. Also why have you used the word 'premise' in the music video? According to my understanding of the word and Premise its been used inappropriately. Few more fixes to do for Kesha discog yet, i'll do when I'm next around. You should resolve comments from the peer review though. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:27, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Crap, yeah i think i may have the wrong word, i know its something like premises, i thought it meant idea/concept...i wonder what the word im looking for is...hmmmm.... Anyway the images i know, im being careful. It states "Multiple items of non-free content are not used if one item can convey equivalent significant information". I dont believe this is the case as i cannot portray in words alone the Digital animation, glow in the dark scene, or what her love interest looks like. Same thing for take it off, top: would you know what another planet looks like? middle: do you know what people exploding into glitter looks like? and bottom: how someone unzips themselves and melts into glitter? lol. I think they are all needed. :) - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 03:33, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Teenage Dream

Hi Lil-unique1 I was just wondering... Are you sure that this is official album cover? Katy Perry said that she doesn't want anything but picture on cover. None text. Maybe this cover is for german market, but in US cover without text will be official. Or am I wrong? :)--SveroH (talk) 11:01, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

that would probably be good idea, but it should be discussed here.--SveroH (talk) 18:03, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Im just going to throw in my two cents. The album is now available for pre order. It uses no writing with an parental sticker on all cover. Version one and version two - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 01:22, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

  • A bit. If you transfer the content elsewhere and delete the article, that would therefore transfer the authorship and violate GFDL. Hello. I know, it's been ages. I'm on hiatus on the music pages (unless I see something drastic in my watchlist) for now, too much vandalism and it got annoying. For now I'm focusing on television related articles until September when I'll work on a mixture again. I'm good thanks, how are you? I get my exam results next week :/. Jayy008 (talk) 22:28, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Yep, it makes my work un-fun :(. And argh that's probably stress? And yes, AS, second time trying for Psychology. And thanks for the good luck. Jayy008 (talk) 22:35, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Lol, I guess! And I know, it's stupid. Not that I'm complaining because I don't like remixes but all the stuff she recorded for Memoirs that didn't make the album; I'd love to hear! Jayy008 (talk) 22:45, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
YES!! I've got it on iTunes. I discovered it on PerezHilton.com. One of the few songs I illegally downloaded of that era I can thank Perez for. Jayy008 (talk) 22:49, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
No, it's not. Ihad to illegally download it along with all other AA tracks :(. Jayy008 (talk) 23:08, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm glad. I mean it wouldn't cost them a thing to put it on iTunes worldwide. No need for a CD release. Jayy008 (talk) 11:33, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Dance music

I've seen this with a lot of the articles that have "dance" listed as a genre. While it is referred to as "dance", I think the implication is "electronic dance" since the article for "dance music" goes to an article about a music that is "composed specifically to facilitate or accompany dancing", and it has at the top of the page "You may also be looking for electronic dance music or dance-pop", which suggests that the two terms/labels can be confused with. Plus, these days it isnt really necessary to have to say "electronic". I just dont think it would be accurate in the case with Flesh Tone. Other than telling u this, I am not sure how to go about changing it back to "electronic dance music". Dan56 (talk) 02:48, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Appreciate it. Would u mind taking a look at a discussion Ive been having at the WP:Albums talk page? Its been a little too complicated to describe accurately, but it deals with self-published sources and began when a user thought that the deletion of an article on a website also deletes its status as a reliable source. If u have the patience to read through the overlong discussion, I'd appreciate it. Dan56 (talk) 03:08, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
If u decide to add to the discussion, it has been moved to the RS noticeboard. Dan56 (talk) 13:43, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you so much for weighing in at that thread. I'm attempting to summarize viewpoints there, since at this stage numbers seem somewhat divided, and I have included your view in my summary. Please read it over at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#Summarizing; more feedback welcome, since opinions seem divided and speak up if I've misunderstood you or if your opinion has changed. I have the album its soooo good. I hope it does well. Karma and Higher are the best songs, there amazing. How you heard the album yet? - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 02:35, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Omg I didnt realise people already had it. Omg are you a fan? :O (you can probably tell I havent heard it yet...) -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (Talk 2Me) 02:43, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Huge fan, stumbled upon then a few months ago, so glad i did. I wish they would come to Canada or the US. There songs are played in the US all the time, Especially Ego and If This Is Love, whenever i go to the States there the first songs i hear on the radio. There a close second for my favorite band, no one can beat Girlicious in my opinion, there amazing live and there new album is indescribably good. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 02:56, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Wow I thought they might have been too upbeat for US radio but then saying that electropop (or happy pop as i call it) is in at the moment. I wonder if the album is online yet if it was released early. Yes Girlicious are quite good actually. What do you think of the Paradiso Girls? -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (Talk 2Me)
The Headlines album is on youtube already, it leaked like 5 days ago. I have it pre-ordered from UK Itunes though :). Here, this is Girlicious's new single 2 in the Mornin, first listen its kinda eh.. second it gets stuck in your head, its really good. Comes out next month worldwide i believe (hopefully, they work so hard). And the Paradiso Girls are ...okay, i only like them because of Chelsie, The first single was good but Whos My Bitch was....painful... Hopefully the album is good though. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 03:10, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Cool. I thought PG's first single was "Patron Tequila"? Can you pre-order things from iTunes in a different country? I thought you could only have things if your 'native' iTunes stocked it? -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (Talk 2Me) 03:16, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Thats what i ment, first single (Patron) was great, second (Whos my Bitch) was horrible, Arias voice is sometimes like nails on a chalkboard. And yeah you can, just switch you county at the bottom, costs a little extra (exchange rates and what not) but its worth it. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 03:18, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Love?

Well in an interview talking about leaving Epic, she explained that she had 2 singles left on her contract with them, so she released Fresh Out the Oven and Louboutins. This says, to me that she only released them to end her contract with them and not for album purposes.

"According to music industry sources, Lopez's last two singles - "Louboutins" and "Fresh Out the Oven" - fulfilled the terms of her contract with Epic." http://www.rttnews.com/ArticleView.aspx?Id=1222987&SMap=1

Useful Links

Thanks, Lil-unique1. I haven't explored all of these yet, but I know already that I've seen some of them before, while others are completely new to me. Thanks!

But, um... if your adding them was "a small gesture", what will you think if I delete some of them? You're going to be pretty damned insulted if I decide I don't want them all now. Oh, I can see it all, I'll delete one of these links, you'll start reverting my article edits, I'll give you warnings for your reversions, you'll block me — pretty soon we'll be in ArbCom and I'll get banned because I "started it", and then I'll have to... Hey, wait a minute. If I'm banned I can go outside and have a regular life. Hmm, this might work out after all. Thanks! — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 03:26, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Audio Files

Hey Unique, how are you doing? So Ive been really putting effort into making "Mariah Carey (album)" a GA level page, which I think its just about there. have a problem though, I alongside a few editors feel that its important to have at least 1 audio file snippet for the page, something I have no clue how to do. I was referred to you, maybe you have the software to upload and cut up a song for me? Thanks!--PeterGriffinTalk 12:40, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Well I apologize for swearing but it still doesn't give you the right to throw accusations around willy-nilly when anyone could've edited that page. All I added was that the video may have been cancelled due to a dispute between Keys and her record label, then when I came back there was like 3 new sections and I just happened to edit a bit of one of them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Within a dream (talkcontribs) 11:08, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey Unique, I appreciate it so much! Does it take you a long time? Because I don't want to overburden you. For now, if you could sample 3 songs for me. Im gonna tell you what parts of the song to sample, around 30 seconds :).
  1. "Vision of Love" - 3:31 - I want from 2:42, from basically right before the first belted "I had a vision of love" until 3:12, or if you can strech it until 3:16ish, basically to the end of the last long belted finishing note.
  2. "Love Takes Time" - 3:49 - I want from 2:45ish until 3:15, or if you could strech it to 3:20.
  3. "Someday" - 4:07 - I want from 3:00ish, from right before the last part of the song, to around 3:37 if you can. :)
Thanks allot Unique, I really appreciate it! This will add allot to the article!.--PeterGriffinTalk 13:52, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

You Lost Me

Hello, I'm AI, in regard to your question "Can you please explain where it states that the dark cover is the official cover for "You Lost Me"? So far, all known purchase releases use the white cover of the zoomed eye. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 04:46, 15 August 2010 (UTC)", the links below could show you that the "white" cover is actually for the "Radio Remix" single or the "Remixes" single

"Radio Remix"

http://music.napster.com/christina-aguilera-music/albums/10476252#target_tabs=&origin=search

but the "black" cover is for the official "You Lost Me" international releases, in digital format and in physical single
http://web.3uk.groovemobile.net/webstore/index.htm?cc=main&ca=displayalbum&lang=en&aid=14&albumid=984272&gid=2&mediaType=0&gmroute=Sb2As14

but anyway, they're both official!!

Hello, about "The only credible source is that from 3mobile which is the last one you provided.", that's because the single set to be released in september, you will see more credible sources, and like i said, the single cover has been approved by the administrator of Sony Music Taiwan, it's for the international releases, and the white one is the remixes single cover.

Good idea?

I've had a go at simplying a few accessibility changes specifically for music editors and I thought the completed essay could be distributed amongst those in the community. Since i know many of the high profile editors I thought that if they saw me adopting the policy it might have a knock on affect. See User:Lil-unique1/Accessibility and let me know what you think. Please do not edit the page but if there are errors do let me know. ... -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 23:00, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Good idea indeed. Whoa, there are far too many things going on here, I can't keep up. I won't be able to comment in detail before this w-e, please remind me my duty. ;-) For now, the basics:
  • "If a completely new editor wishes to modify the article with credible information they will find it extremely difficult because they won't know all of the intricate coding that goes into making the page look pretty." -> This is a usability concern, and is absolutely not related to accessibility. This is a very frequent misunderstanding.
  • "If viewed on a portable device e.g. mobile phone or iPod touch such pages often appear misformed." -> Interoperability is one of the induced effects of accessibility (and a part of the "universal accessibility" approach) but is not the main goal in itself. Though it's often strongly encouraged by accessibility experts.
To learn more about it, I suggest Introduction to Web Accessibility by WebAIM and Introduction to Web Accessibility by the W3C. Yours, Dodoïste (talk) 23:27, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
Apologies. I got a bit too excited. I just thought an essay relating specifically to songs and articles (something I edit alot) would be useful in explaining how to implement the changes affectively. I've modified the essay so that it is about accessibility and usability. I will read the the links you've provided and update the essay over the next couple of days. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 23:40, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
It's much better already with these precisions added. And there is nothing wrong with being enthusiastic, quite the contrary. :-) I only regret not being on holiday and having 24h in a day. :p
If you like videos, I found those to be really mind-blowing.

Shakira 2010 Tour

So, to understand your edit summary, I am to find out where you are in this world and look at a ticket that you purchased to attend a Shakira concert at a venue that I am not sure is located. Mariah Carey (album) GA

Hello Lil-unique1, thank you for the notice. So here is how I view the issue. Now I view this as being a little too harsh, Ill explain why. I see that your comments were revolving around grammar, Wiki:MOS, and not being "broad enough," so let me explain why I passed the article. Now an FA level article is supposed to be as close to perfect as can be, and exemplify Wikipedia's best work, for an FA I would have failed it for the same reasons you did. Your forgetting however that a GA (Good article, not Perfect article) is not and probably will not be FA level, meaning its not perfect and has some flaws, or else all GA pages would meet FA level criteria. So in my mind, an article has to follow guidelines and be, lets say 85 perfect of perfect to pass, not pointing out things like "well you forgot the comma after Carey."--AlastorMoody (talk) 18:36, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

The changes do not apply to the actual singles or albums tables but apply to everything else. Also you'll see that Rowland's discog was promoted earlier today. I removed the CSS formatting which made the country names appear in small. the reasons why are explained in the FL comments log for the discog and also at the essay page I shared you a link with. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 23:17, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Haha don't worry I've rowed with two users over it already. I'll tell you what. I'll do the music videos for you then you have a proper example and then you can do the collaborations? -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 00:45, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh my gosh please do lol. :) Why is it being changed anyway? theres nothing wrong with the old format is there? - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:46, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Its because screen reading software doesn't know how to interpret the table. Scope="col" tells the software its reading a column (so it reads down) and scope="row" tells the software its reading a row (so it reads across). -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 00:51, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Also had to move year info to the end of the table because it didn't make sense. Interms of screen reading the year isn't the most prominent piece of information. The title of the video is. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 00:58, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Ha, don't you mean Perez Hilton? LOL. I think it won't do that well to be honest. It'll beat Kelly Rowland, even though I wish Kelly Rowland would get some damn success! Singles?

Hello, I recently saw what you posted about the radio 1 site. Thanks. And I also noticed that the one and only source that says "Like a Surgeon" by Ciara was released on JUly 15, 2009 is from that site. Especially since, its video was cancelled and because there seems to be no other sources for its release, can it be called a single, or should it just be an other charted song. In addition it has no cover. Additionally, the radio one page it linked to has that "Gimmie That" was released on August 16, 2010, which we all know isnt true as no other site has it. So, what do you think. --Drake&Ciara Fan (talk) 19:06, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Forever and a Day

I was not aware that it was deliberately done that way, as "Forever and a Day" looks more appropriate. I could be wrong, but I believe that using an ampersand in this way is not good grammar; ie: "Forever & Day" would make sense, but w/ the addition of the 'a,' much less so. CloversMallRat (talk) 21:22, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey, you've moved The Saturdays image down, i think it should be further up as its making the Wordshaker title further into the page. --SitDownOnIt (talk) 11:52, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to the merge discussion at Talk:List of awards and nominations received by Justin Bieber. If you have the chance, please comment on how the information should be merged to the Justin Bieber article. Regards, –Chase (talk) 21:58, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Put It in a Love Song

The source said Alicia noted that the video wouldn't premiere until closer to the summer, she didn't say the video would come out at the end of the summer. Anyway you seriously must be stupid to think its gonna premiere, its was filmed 7 months ago! Most videos only take 1 month to edit!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Within a dream (talkcontribs) 10:54, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Yes I do have something to add, change the source and note that it was supposed to premiere at the beginning of summer. The video's been shelfed anyway she it won't premiere, c'mon its a bit obvious now... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Within a dream (talkcontribs) 07:24, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

J. Lo album sales

Hello Unique, It is impossible for her album sales to reach 50 million, when her total available certifications (albums, singles and videos) don't even reach 20. Rolling Stone is a reviewer magazine, one that is not affiliated with album sales or tracking. Reuters is and Contact music backs it up. If you would like to have a large scale discussion, I would gladly comply.--PeterGriffinTalk 22:52, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

They give us a nice overview, you can't sit here and tell me they don't mean anything. Your going to tell me Lopez's last album was not certified because her label didn't apply? of course not, its because it didn't sell didly squat. We have sales from Billboard editor Paul Grein (I'll provide them) that back up the certifications, so you can't say they don't mean anything. Secondly, Rolling Stone is a magazine, which has made up allot of phony claims in the past. We have had this discussion before on Mariah Carey articles, record labels are the most reliable, especially with a figure so inflated and out of reach. We have many opposing and more reliable sources that claim way lower, so why stick with this one random one, which by no means is the most reliable (and it happens to be the highest).--PeterGriffinTalk 23:02, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your review of the above FLC. When you get the chance, can you clarify whether you support, oppose, or are neutral toward the list's promotion to FL status? Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 00:16, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Other then the Year issue is there anything else? I will change it if it become a requirement once a consensus is reached. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 05:18, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
CLK there aren't really any other issues. Though I would advise a thorough copyedit and try to make the prose more conclusive (i.e. more detailed and less fragmented). -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me

Jennifer Lopez Discussion

Hello, please join the discussion here.--PeterGriffinTalk 02:03, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Well I appreciate you explaining to me how you feel, because I have to admit I was insulted by it. In case you didn't notice, there is a GA link on an articles talk page, as well as clear cut instructions after you go to the GA page. I mean, whether or not your an experienced editor, its not hard to follow 3 simple steps. But thanks for clarifying it for me, and I apologize if it seemed I was attacking you back there; I wasn't at all, just was curious :).--PeterGriffinTalk 16:26, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Its ok, thanks. I admit I do not have allot of patience in Wiki or trust, I must say its from some unfortunate past incidents that show me some editors don't have your back. Anyway, I agree and apologize if I seemed to come off as attacking. Thanks for the clarification, but now will change the info on J.lo's page. Thanks :)--PeterGriffinTalk 16:34, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

FLC

Hey Unique. Thanks for participating in the review process, I appreciate it. I have fixed all the things you mentioned except one. I really don't see why we shouldn't include certifications that aren't countries listed in the table. The singles discography is meant to give info on her singles and where they were certified is definately important. Just because we don't have chart positions doesn't mean we shouldn't list its certifications there. Anyway, thanks and please take a look and let me know :)--PeterGriffinTalk 02:07, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi Unique, thanks for the help! :)
I'm having an issue I don't know how to fix. For some reason the two table do not equally align. There is some weird reason they don't, even if they are equally formatted they don't :s. Can you help me with that issue? Aside from that I believe I'm done. Thanks! :D --PeterGriffinTalk 16:56, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Unique! :) However, they still don't match up :s, one is longer than the other. Oh well, anyway if you are satisfied with everything, can you please express "Support, Neutral or Oppose"? Thanks allot! :D--PeterGriffinTalk 02:07, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

The Saturdays 24/7

You removed all the information that I had spent time putting into The Saturdays: 24/7 article and accused that information is not reliable. If you had actually taken time to check the source you would have noticed that it comes from a link directly to the episode which had already aired. The information for the short summary, exclusive performance, background, and general information came exclusively from the article except in the case where one source had quoted the same episode. Please take time to actually substantiate your accusations.--Ckelly987 (talk) 21:31, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I put the wrong source in that spot, but once again, the video clearly shows and says all the information that I placed within that short summary information. I am not just making up things out of thin air as you seem to assume.--Ckelly987 (talk) 21:53, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Once again, I get it, I'm sorry okay. However I would appreciate it if you would not be rude, as I'm new, I make mistakes and the information I edited into the article was not false I just put the wrong source. The video is reliable as it is a copy of the broadcast minus the commercials and for the third time now, the information comes straight from the video, so just calm down, I'm simply trying to provide correct, reliable information to an article with some notoriety that is being threatened with deletion.--Ckelly987 (talk) 22:01, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
However, I agree with you, the reliable sources page that you sent me to says that videos can be considered a reliable source especially if they have been broadcast as this episode has. And though the intention is for all information to be encyclopedic, the short summary of a television episode may not follow the traditional definition. For example, if you look at the episode summaries of The Hills or The Real Housewives of New York City, the information is not necessarily what would be in an encyclopedia. Especially considering that this series is only four episodes compared to The Hills' 102 episodes', the short summary should have some more information. Again, I'm just trying to save this article from being deleted by having reliable information from the video of the broadcast.--Ckelly987 (talk) 22:10, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Also regarding the comment about the source, I already told you that this was an honest mistake but you seem have to ignored that so I don't need you to continue to criticize me.--Ckelly987 (talk) 18:24, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
