Disambiguation link notification for February 25

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Saddi Washington, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Western Michigan Broncos basketball (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:45, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Direct, reliable sources needed for Days of the Year pages

You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages now require direct reliable sources for additions. For details see the content guideline, the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide or the edit notice on any DOY page. Almost all new additions without references are now being reverted on-sight.

Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages.

Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 01:45, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Kindest regards on today's joke AfD

This is just a compliment on the number of userboxes you have about *hio. I wish I'd seen the Toledo War userbox when I was an editor :).

Updated joke reasoning for Walgreens AfD listing

If my changing of closing reasoning for Walgreens (from "April Fools is over" to "Merged with Walmart") is not against the rules, would you please update the Wikipedia:April Fools/April Fools' Day 2021 page? Thanks, 2001:569:7B92:5500:B02B:997B:1CF9:16F5 (talk) 23:45, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

As far as I know, I don’t think changing reasons is against the rules as long as you don’t create or delete other nominations after April 1. MainPeanut (talk) 23:48, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Done. Just don’t change reasonings that are funny, I guess. MainPeanut (talk) 23:52, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

I have also updated the reasoning for Soroka (added onto the "chopped" one of yours), GTA V, along with others - would you update appropriately? Also, would you mind changing my requests, made directly onto the log page, into seperate subpages like most other submissions? Thank you, 2001:569:7B92:5500:B02B:997B:1CF9:16F5 (talk) 03:11, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

I think that I shouldn’t create any more joke deletion nomination pages because it is not April Fools day anymore. I’ll update everything else though. MainPeanut (talk) 03:16, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

Ok. I’ll just explain why it was moved in the edit summary. I added the Soroka revision to Wikipedia:April Fools Day 2021. MainPeanut (talk) 03:28, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

It's probably best to wait until these players play in a game before un-redirecting them from the minor league pages. Gilbreath for example was only called up to serve as the 27th man in a doubleheader and may not appear in a game.-- Yankees10 22:56, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

MfD nomination of a joke AfD you created for April Fools' 2021

Hi, I'm letting you know that I've nominated a joke AfD nomination you created for deletion, as it didn't get significant participation on April Fools'. Ok. I’ve already made separate pages in my userspace for my own nominations and yours (because I created the actual pages) that are currently nominated for deletion in the big WP:MfD. Do you want me to delete User:MainPeanut/Mike Soroka AFD AFD and User:MainPeanut/Robinhood (company) AFD AFD? MainPeanut (talk) 03:36, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

  • Yes, and the slapping templates too. --NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 16:10, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Will do. MainPeanut (talk) 16:49, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

  • Regrettably I do not know. NotReallySoroka (talk) (formerly DePlume) 16:10, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Jay Fiaa

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Jay Fiaa. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Jay Flaa. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Jay Flaa. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. MainPeanut (talk) 20:53, 26 April 2021 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Josh Swain (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Bay Area Baseball Teams Rosters

Hi,

I was wondering if I could take the lead on updating the rosters for both of the Bay Area baseball teams for the remainder of this season. I am from the Bay Area and are a big fan of both of them. I promise to get them updated in a reasonably quick manner. Please respond when you have time. Thanks. GoWarriors151718 (talk) 07:50, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

@GoWarriors151718 Yes, that is the Athletics and Giants, right? Also, remember to edit the navboxes. MainPeanut (talk) 14:13, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

@MainPeanut Hi, Sorry for the late response. Yeah. Those are the two teams and I will not forget to edit the navboxes. Thanks for the friendly reminder. GoWarriors151718 (talk) 22:54, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Branden Bowen moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Branden Bowen, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
