I believe this article should be restored because D Pryde is an up and coming rapper out of Brampton, Ontario who will soon become a musical icon. He is very popular on youtube and throughout the rest of the internet. His myspace has 2,232,578 views and 3,080,356 song plays (http://www.myspace.com/dukke101) His two youtube accounts youtube.com/dprydemusic and youtube.com/nhbfilms have a combined 16,934,526 views and 139,617 followers. Therefore this page is relevent all though not complete yet. Please restore.

Please see our guidelines regarding bands at WP:MUSIC. Nakon 21:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Horrible rules, you'll see when he makes it big! Just because an artist/band isn't top selling or always on the radio doesn't mean they aren't relevent —Preceding unsigned comment added by TideEnt (talkcontribs) 22:14, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nakon, I notice you've been removing these templates from the permissions pages, while my bot has been re-adding them. Do you think you could just explain what the problems is for me, so I can attempt to fix it, or remove it from the the bot? Cheers, - Kingpin13 (talk) 21:12, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was waiting for a few more people to comment, but there has been a discussion about removing the template as new requests usually appear below it. Nakon 21:13, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nakon, Please undelete my page Easy Hosting Control Panel. I added the {{hangon}} tag and an explanation, however, the explanation didn't properly display, thus I went to fix it. Before such action was possible, you have deleted my article. Please fix this. Thanks, Andrew Andrew33333 (talk) 01:07, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the explanation and the article did not meet the criteria for inclusion for either corporations or websites. Nakon 01:08, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunatley, you've looked at the content incorrectly. The mentioning of corporations and website was one of the early-stage phrases in the article I was developing. When saving the article, I was only updating it and was NOT submiting it as a final copy. Could you please do so? Andrew33333 (talk) 01:14, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored it to User:Andrew33333/Easy Hosting Control Panel. Please ensure that the article meets the above guidelines before reintroducing it to the main namespace. Nakon 01:16, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Updating this article in that page will be local to my account and can't be deleted for not meeting the requirements, correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrew33333 (talkcontribs) 01:17, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why was my page deleted

[edit]

I added an existing link to a temple page to provide more information reg. Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. Why is this advertising and why was it deleted. There is absolutely no advertising involved. This is for information only. Please restore. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Murali2010 (talkcontribs) 01:34, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You created a new article that consisted of only a short description and a link to an external page. These articles fall under the A3 deletion criteria. If there is an existing article for the subject, please put the link there. Thanks, Nakon 01:37, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This link needs to be there as it is to a particular temple. There are no existing links in Wikipedia for the same. I have a link to an existing web page already. May be you did not notice. Please restore. Thanks,

Webcomic

[edit]

I tried to upload my first wiki article regarding a webcomic that is a staple for DDR players everywhere, 10k Commotion. I realize that I'm new to this and I expected there to be some problems, but what exactly did I do wrong? I have references, sources, and what I thought was an appropriate layout. So, what was wrong with it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadowvfx (talkcontribs) 19:19, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please see our guidelines regarding articles about websites. Nakon 19:21, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So, in general, this webcomic wasn't popular enough to justify having a wikipedia article? I realize I might not have emphasized this comics significance to those of us in the DDR community, but I've seen a lot of articles on here covering far more obscure websites, toys, etc. Years ago, the VG Cats and Mac Hall entries were equally bland. Do you have any advice you can give me for making this more content worth? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadowvfx (talkcontribs) 19:27, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Content needs to be featured in multiple reliable sources. Nakon 19:28, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding revision deletions to WP:AIV

[edit]

Hello Nakon. I have a question regarding your recent revision deletions to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. None of them seem to qualify for revision deletion, much less under the reason "Non-contentious housekeeping, RevDel corrections, notes, conversion". Here are two examples. Can you please explain in more detail what the reason for deleting these revisions was? Thanks. --Deskana (talk) 23:22, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I contacted Oversight about the revisions months ago and didn't receive a response. The revisions contain personal information that I went through and removed. Since they were over five years old, I had assumed that there would not be a problem. Nakon 23:23, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry you didn't get a response from us. I looked and I can't find the e-mail, so I must not searching for the right thing. Anyway, what personal information is included in these revisions? As far as I can see, they are standard vandalism reports that do not contain any personal information. --Deskana (talk) 23:28, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The personal information is the username I used to sign the reports. Nakon 23:29, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, I'm not sure that oversighting old usernames is a good practice. Prodego talk 00:45, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article deleted: Explanation and information requested

[edit]

You deleted an article that I wrote yesterday and it would appear that this occurred whilst I was making the modifications requested by one of your colleagues. I remain resolute that the article was of merit, although due to the fact that I am blind and also the fact that I misinterpred the rules, I made some errors in my submission. I sought to rectify these as quickly as possible and respectfully took all of the comments made by your colleague on board, but the article was deletd nonetheless and I would be very grateul if you could provide me with an explanation and/or what would be required to put this right. The person I was writing about is a significant figure in the future of the internet and there are many others of equal merit with articles in Wikipedia, and also he is mentioned in other articles within the site. I apologise if I am not doing things 100% accurately but your website is not completely accessible for a visually impaired person and one would hope that an organization of your values would seek to assist me in such circumstances. I did write a message here yesterday, but it too appears to have been deleted without being responded to. SandiWassmer (talk) 06:38, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Highlight Films

[edit]

Hi,

I recently added an article about Highlight Films. I read all the comments and corrected it, and now I see that the page was deleted and I can't continue to correct it. I'm new to Wikipedia, but I understand I have to contact you about that. I'm sorry if this is not the case, but if it is, I'd appreciate if you can undo the deletion so I can fix the article according to Wikipedia rules.

Many thanks, Noam Shalev —Preceding unsigned comment added by NoamShalev (talkcontribs) 22:38, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Visibility

[edit]
(Deletion log); 23:06 . . Nakon (talk | contribs) changed revision visibility of Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism: removed content for 1 revision (RD6: Non-contentious housekeeping, RevDel corrections, notes, conversion)

Times 22. Ok, seriously, I get it. There's a new-ish feature that allows invisible edits, but this is largely supposed to be used in situations where there is something such as libelous material that one would wish to remove entirely, etc etc. Is it really necessary for you to make twenty-two invisible edits under the explanation of "house keeping"? If it's non-contentious, why do you need the visibility limitations? In the past few months my watchlist has been literally spammed by people using this more than a dozen times in succession and only rarely has it been on an occasion where you would want the original material completely hidden. When used for "non-contentious" matters this strikes me as someone playing with a new toy or using a jackhammer when a screwdriver would suffice. Human.v2.0 (talk) 03:01, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This has already been discussed in an above section. Nakon 17:28, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok... that's an unecessarily unhelpful response.
Do you mean the section that ends in "Eh, I'm not sure that oversighting old usernames is a good practice. Prodego:"? The section you make no response to at all?
Since it appears you were told "don't do it", how about you make yourself a little more clear in the future, and more importantly make some kind of response to the above section. Human.v2.0 (talk) 23:09, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MunchAway

[edit]

Nakon,

I am working on adding changes to the page that was deleted. I read this because I assume this is the reason for deletion.

A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content). An article about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works. This criterion does not apply to species of animals, only to individual animal(s). The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. The criterion does apply if the claim of significance or importance given is not credible. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion.

{{db-a7}}, {{db-person}} – for people, {{db-band}} – for bands, {{db-club}} – for clubs, societies, groups, and organizations, {{db-inc}} – for companies and corporations, {{db-web}} – for websites, {{db-animal}} – for individual animals

I am asking as I did before- was the main reason for deletion because I did not include references? If this is the case please give me the opportunity to recreate the page and add citations. If there are any other reasons that would benefit me in improving the significance of this article, I am open for suggestions. I want to contribute to the community and believe that Online Ordering is important.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rrowland66 (talkcontribs) 18:20, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Internet2

[edit]

The page-protection on Internet2 has expired and the vandals are back. Perhaps it is best to permanently protect the page, or better yet include it in the 'Pending Changes' program. Since Internet2 is an organization article, similar to a BLP of a living person, it should be quite acceptable to anyone. Thanks for your attention. Thank U for saving Wikipage “western Orissa” from vandalism by IP 115.113.112.98 on dated 25.09.2010. In the past also, there had been attempts by some over jealous persons, presumably from Eastern (Coastal) Orissa, to distort / erase, few sentences/ some chaps/ entire article pertaining to Western Orissa, Sambalpur, Sambalpur district, Sambalpuri language, Sundergarh, Sundergarh district and other districts of Western Orissa, some of which were reverted. After all Wikipedia is a store house of knowledge and information, from which the entire human race can benefit.
