License tagging for File:The IPC Church.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The IPC Church.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Neriamangalam bridge.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:55, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... I am really new to Wikipedia, not reading, but writing one. I have seen many pages with wrong and simply with two or three lines. It is to show that "I am an Article writer", by many. I really fed up with such people and so I wrote firstly "Rajamudy" and then "Pazhampillichal" with credentials and evidences, trying to avoid any type of errors. It is a humble effort to show how one has to create a page or article. Of course articles are edited and Wikipedia is a collective one, contributed by many. But I do not know much of the Wikipedia editing, image adding, use of talk pages etc. Hence it is my humble request that kindly help me in my mistakes. Recently R'n'B corrected me of using link to "English" that not to use "English" instead "English language". Thank You

And how to delete the wrong or unwanted 'images' uploaded, please tell me. Thanking You.

Hello, Peter Thomas Olickal, and thank you for joining us in building Wikipedia. From looking at your two impressive articles, I can see that you have gained a good understanding of both the conventions used on Wikipedia and the markup used to achieve the necessary formatting and layout. I've made a few minor changes to the articles, which I hope you are happy with. When I first started editing, I learnt a lot from looking at the code behind existing pages, and I guess you have done the same. I'm happy to help you if you have specific questions – just leave a question at the bottom of my talk page. I usually login to Wikipedia at least twice each week, so I will respond within a few days.
With regard to getting things deleted, it's my understanding that you just edit the page and put {{Db-author}} on there (see this section entitled "G7. Author requests deletion" for more details). I know this works for articles, and I expect it would work for images too.
Best wishes, and thank you :) Regards — Hebrides (talk) 21:25, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Pulayan.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 08:01, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cheramar Christians

[edit]

Hi, I'm sorry but there is so much wrong with Cheramar Christians that I really do not know where to start in explaining the issues. Things such as What a humiliation and violation of Human Rights – cow dung is more pure than fellow-human beings and the same the harvest of these human beings’ hard-work can be eaten no “untouchables” in it – incongruous, and delusory practices!!!, however, are completely inappropriate and it also looks to me as if you may have copied chunks of the text from other places. You are using sources that are not reliable, such as Logan's Malabar Manual, and you had entire sections for things that really are better covered elsewhere, in articles such as Dalit.

I doubt very much there will be much left of your article by the time I have fixed it, so please do not be surprised if it ends up pointing to Pulayar (which is in fact what most of your sources call them anyway). - Sitush (talk) 08:07, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Coastal Voluntary Network

[edit]

Hello, Olickal Peter Thomas

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Coastal Voluntary Network for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Help I have been blocked

[edit]

Dear All,

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Olickal Peter Thomas (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am blocked due to repeated image uploading, as the reasons stated; to say disruptive editing. Actually after creating the article i tried to upload a logo (Image), but it was not visible on the page; and the first two time the "target file name" and the original file name of the image were different. And even after correcting the name, the image did not appear on the page and so I have uploaded again the image. ACTUALLY I did not know it would create such a "vandalism" to the standard guidelines of Wikipedia! And I am a learner and new to Wikipedia. And you all may teach and correct me generously so that I may also be with you in this World's Largest Online Source of unique information! And so I hereby humbly beg and plead your magnanimity and benevolence to unblock me with an assurance that I will never be so again in the future. Peter Thomas (talk) 04:45, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I do now know whether I can make again a help request to unblock! If I am not privileged so, kindly forgive and excuse me. Now I understood that why I was blocked. My uploading of images without proposer copy right claim of my own to articles is the prime reason. And kindly see my contributions are not of promotional ones. Mostly I wrote about places. Of course I did not take much care in learning the uploading of images etc. And now on wards, I will be extra cautious and will not repeat the same mistakes. And also kindly consider that I have not deleted or modified or added any inappropriate contents or caused any vandalism to Wikipedia. And so kindly give me a single chance or one more chance to be with you all. Peter Thomas (talk) 07:16, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request to Kindly Review my "Block from Editing"

[edit]

It is hereby humbly requested to all to kindly help me in my editing block. I repeatedly state here that i will not repeat my mistakes that caused me from blocked from editing Wikipedia; Disruptive Editing. Actually none of my editing or creating articles intentionally to disturb or cause any vandalism to Wikipedia or promotional contents creation. the fact is that I did not spent much time to learn "editing" or "creating articles" in the procedures set by Wikipedia. Here is some advice on how to make it more likely that your unblock request will succeed, because I'm afraid I don't think your present request stands much chance at all. I see that above you stated that your editing has not been promotional. However, you have created several articles or drafts which really were unambiguously promotional. If you honestly cannot see why they were promotional then you will not be able to avoid making the same mistake again. I therefore advise you that if you are to have any realistic chance of being unblocked you will need to show that you do understand how some of your editing has been promotional. Please note the word "show", not "say": all too often blocked editors say that they understand why they are blocked, but in fact don't understand, so that if they are unblocked they go ahead and make the same mistakes again, with the result that they are quickly re-blocked. For that reason you should explain what about your editing makes it promotional, so as to show that you understand, rather than just saying that you understand. Your draft article, Draft:Uwe Gustafsson

[edit]

Hello, Olickal Peter Thomas. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Uwe Gustafsson".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 14:18, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Page "Uwe Gustafsson"

[edit]

I created an article about Uwe Gustafsson, a Canadian Linguistic who spent his whole life among the Adivasis (PTGs) of Eastern Ghats in Andhra Pradesh, India. He wrote many articles on dravidian languages and An Adivasi Oriya Dictionary too. Such great scholarly personalities should have page in Wikipedia, (Not movie heroes or such people alone). Forget about my "mistakes" I made in blocking me from editing Wikipedia (Disruptive editing, I appealed many time, but still I am not able to create articles). I beg here than anyone may write an article about the Great Person Uwe Gustafsson. I do not know him personally, but I came to know him when I went to work among the communities whom he and his family served for more than 40 years! And so please don't delete the article about him. Please, somebody may write an article about him. --Peter Thomas (talk) 16:29, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
