Hi there! In order to categorize, the article should say it belongs to that category. For example, the article never says she is a soprano. And if you want to add that she is a soprano in the article, you would need a reference for that. So, for the time being I will revert those categorizations until the article references that information. Cheers! -- ReyBrujo (talk) 17:36, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced categories - Second warning

[edit]

Do not add a category to an article unless there is verifiable information from a reliable source cited in the article, as you did to John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Vanessa Marcil. If you continue this abusive editing, you will be blocked from editing. Ward3001 (talk) 21:29, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced categories - Final warning

[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Lauri Ylönen.
Any further vandalism will result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ward3001 (talk) 02:55, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

June 2008

[edit]

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Bob Marley, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified. If it has not been already, it may be removed if the category has not been deemed correct for the subject matter. Nowhere within the Bob marley article is there any mention of him being vegetarian. You have already been asked to stop adding categories to articles in instances like this and been warned that you risk being blocked if you do so again. Please check in future before you add any further categories to articles to avoid any possible block. Thank you. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 00:11, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Alissa White-Gluz

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Alissa White-Gluz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. triwbe (talk) 04:52, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Opera singer categories

[edit]

Hi. I don't know whether you are aware of Opera Project guidelines on singer categories? Just two cats are used, see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Opera#Singers. It would be appreciated if you didn't create any extra ones as they aren't needed. Thanks. --Kleinzach 07:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Let me again draw your attention to this message. Please read what I wrote on 29 October. --Kleinzach 13:35, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.

I just want to say thank you for your help with the singer categories, and pages. Keep up the good work :} Tribal44 (talk) 17:49, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Tribal44[reply]

Note about removal of maintenance templates

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Lydia Fortner. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Thanks for uploading Image:Melissa Ferlaak.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. Your uploads

[edit]

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! STBotI (talk) 20:01, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have checked your recent contributions and it does appear that you are copying these images from various websites. Please don't do that. I have deleted one that is obviously taken by a professional photographer, but at first look none are suitable for Wikipedia: We only accept to use images that ate free to reuse. This is not the case of 99% of the images you can find on the Internet. Please kindly check with the owner of these images if you can use them, or remove them from the articles and an admin will delete them shortly. Thank you. -- lucasbfr talk 20:32, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Alissa White-Gluz

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Alissa White-Gluz, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. License tagging for File:Seraphim Rising.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Seraphim Rising.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your additions to "Swedish male singers"

Hello there. Please note that there is no need to add articles to the "Swedish male singers" category if they are already in another category for singers. They are both sub categories to "Swedish singers". Cheers. Erzsébet Báthory(talk|contr.) 21:16, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Markize, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.markize.com/new/lg_en/band.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

Orphaned non-free image File:Seraphim Rising.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Seraphim Rising.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:38, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Markize albums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
