If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Shane Smeltz

[edit]

Please do not change Shane Smeltz current club etc. to Gençlerbirliği S.K. until it has been announced by an official source as a confirmed transfer. It is very feasible he will not complete the transfer. Your changes have been reverted multiple times by multiple editors with edit summaries all repeating the same thing. Consensus is to not add information that is speculative.--ClubOranjeT 11:38, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Djurgårdens IF Fotboll

[edit]

Hi. Please state why you are removing the dashes for the squad section. The dashes serves a good understood purpose, the fact that the player has not been given a number yet. An empty space serves no purpose and this might be misunderstood as sometimes articles on amateur clubs have empty spaces for the numbers as no numbers are used for these teams. Hover as Djurgården is a professional club and use numbers, the dashes should be used when no number has been given to a player. --Reckless182 (talk) 16:44, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Creating player articles

[edit]

Hi

Judging by your talk page and your creation of Djurgården player articles you have to read Wikipedia:NFOOTBALL before you create an article for a footballer. The player must have made at least one apperance in a professional league, in Sweden this means Allsvenskan, Superettan apps are not enough, hence the PROD of Martin Broberg who you've created for a second time after the article already was deleted once. Brian Span is also a non notable player since his apps for Reading are in the USL Premier Development League, a non professional league. Please read the criteria before creating player articles, they will eventually be deleted in they don't meet the criteria. --Reckless182 (talk) 11:58, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When contesting the proposed deletion of an article, as you did with Berat Tosun and Atabey Çiçek, please explain your reason for doing so in your edit summary or on the article's talks page. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:37, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Gençlerbirliği S.K.. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Ergün Teber, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --Oleola (talk) 19:16, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Oleola (talk) 19:41, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Administrators Noticeboard post

[edit]

Hi, I saw your post on the administrator's noticeboard regarding Oleola, and wanted to get back to you about that. It appears that you and several other editors, including Oleola are having a content dispute about the contents of a particular page. It is important for everyone, including yourself, to remain cool, and discuss your proposed changes on the article talk page instead of reverting each other. You are correct Oleola should not be calling you 'dumb', as this is a personal attack, which all editors should avoid. Sometimes edit disputes get heated, and users stop following the standards of conduct they should. I suggest we try starting over, and that you work with him and other editors on the article talk page, Talk:Murat Duruer to develop a consensus of how the page should be. If you continue to have problems with personal attacks, we can take steps to prevent that. Prodego talk 02:28, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your interest.

Also, one minor clarification - User:Oleola is not an administrator. Prodego talk 02:35, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry for that. I did not know that as I guess he acts like that.
I've left him a note about his comments to you, asking him to be a bit nicer. I've also pointed him toward Talk:Murat Duruer as well, so hopefully you two will be able to agree on what to do with the page there. Cheers! Prodego talk 02:41, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thank you very much for your interest again. Have a nice day/night/life!

Footballer stats

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for trying to keep footballer infoboxes up to date. When you do the stats, please will you also update the as-of date, this is the parameter called pcupdate or club-update, and should contain the date/time at which the stats are correct. The easy way to update it is to replace the existing contents with 5 tilde characters ~~~~~, which the software will automatically convert to the current date/time.

If you update player appearances without changing the date to match, you're making the information wrong and making work for others. I have now fixed it for you, in the articles about Gençlerbirliği-players that you updated yesterday, but please remember it next time. Thanks, --Mentoz86 (talk) 17:16, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Tayfur Bingöl‎

[edit]

Wikipedia's list of fully pro league does not include sources confirming the Turkish third division as fully pro. Since notability requires verifiable evidence, playing in this league is not a valid claim to notability unless you can provide reliable source to show the league is fully pro. Please post further comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tayfur Bingöl‎ so that all interested parties can see them, and please sign your posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) so that people know who posted them. Hi again, The link that you attached is not accurate. I checked at the websites of Austrian Airlines and Air Berlin and i saw that those airlines not operating flights to Ankara. I saw that they have code sharing agreements (1 stop in Istanbul). it means that passengers need first to fly to Istanbul and then fly to Ankara. About Germania- I checked at Germania's webiste and i saw that airline operate flights to Ankara only from Berlin, Hanover and Hamburg.--Friends147 (talk) 20:44, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Updating logos

[edit]

Unfortunately, you're speaking to the wrong person here. I have no idea how it works either. For the case of Hertha BSC, best I can tell, the image Hertha Flag logo was deleted, though I have no idea why. This is why I've replaced with the earlier logo. Sorry I can't be of more help. The article Lucas Ontivero has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.
