Copyright is the exclusive right of an author, publisher or concessionaire to exploit a literary, scientific or artistic work or text for a certain period of time.

Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?

Because this content is protected by copyright and transgressing this right is a serious incidence. In addition, The text of Wikipedia articles are copyrighted by Wikipedia editors and contributors. Most of Wikipedia text and a big part of its images are co-licensed under the Creative Commons.

Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?

We can only copy a small amount of a text, and we must mark what we take with double quotation marks (") as a direct quotation and cite the source using an inline citation. Apart from quotation, we can put the information in our own words and structure, in proper paraphrase.

How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

In the future, I will write the articles in my own words since the begining, without copying identical parts from text of other pages or works. I will use double quotation marks to cite and I will read carefully Wikipedia rules.
