Your GA nomination of Tehachapi Energy Storage Project
[edit]The article Tehachapi Energy Storage Project you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Tehachapi Energy Storage Project for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Orphaned non-free image File:Tehachapi Energy Storage Project-B-Roll Video.ogg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tehachapi Energy Storage Project-B-Roll Video.ogg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:16, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

Dimsum GA nom
[edit]Hi Renewableandalternativeenergy, I have boldly withdrawn the GA nom you made for Dim Sum. From a brief look, the article is very short and lacking coverage in many areas, has significant unreferenced areas, lacks an appropriate lead, and has an undeveloped consideration of image placement and captions. It is thus quite far from meeting a few different WP:Good article criteria. I hope these points help with further development of the article, CMD (talk) 09:57, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Chipmunkdavis:: Thank you very much for the feedback. I will review the Good Article Criteria and MoS. If there is additional or specific feedback that can be provided, it would be helpful since I am still continuing to learn about this. --Renewableandalternativeenergy (talk) 02:26, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
DYK for Tehachapi Energy Storage Project
[edit]On 10 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tehachapi Energy Storage Project, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 608,832 lithium-ion battery cells assembled at the Tehachapi Energy Storage Project are capable of powering between 1,600 and 2,400 homes for four hours? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tehachapi Energy Storage Project. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Tehachapi Energy Storage Project), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Renewableandalternativeenergy, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Las Vegas Strip have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:22, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
