A tag has been placed on Running Dropkick, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.   — Jeff G.  ツ 21:50, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Barry White (wrestler) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. E. Fokker (talk) 22:11, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Barry White (wrestler) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. E. Fokker (talk) 03:38, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to the page David Guetta appears to have added incorrect information and has been reverted or removed. All information in this encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable, published source. If you believe the information that you added was correct, please cite the references or sources or before making the changes, discuss them on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for any tests that you wish to make. Do take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Danny Trejo. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. A tag has been placed on Things fall apart (film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Why do you (and recently IPs) keep changing the location of Belfast to be in the UK rather than Northern Ireland, on a simple list? Even the corresponding article states first and foremost that Belfast is in Northern Ireland, then the UK. Are you going to change the articles for Ricky Burns, Joe Calzaghe or Carl Frampton to state that they are British rather than Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish? Please do that—I'd like to see you try. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:25, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Timothy Bradley/UK/same old shit

[edit]

Right, you're doing this "England, UK" thing again. It is pointless to have England/Scotland/Wales/NI followed by UK, especially in a record table where brevity is key. The US and UK are not the same thing—the US is a country containing federal states, and no athlete represents a state at international level; the UK is a sovereign state containing individual countries, and athletes often do represent those individual countries internationally (especially in boxing; go ahead and tell Joe Calzaghe he is British, not Welsh, or Ricky Burns that he is British, not Scottish). They are not equivalent. Have a read of this long discussion from 2013 and see what you can gather. I, for one, am seeing that "England, UK" is not favoured—it is better to differentiate between E/S/W/NI, rather than consolidate them into simply UK. Two more things: 1. "[City], England", not "[City], England, UK" is used on MMA record tables (e.g. Michael Bisping); 2. the new boxing MOS will use largely the same format, so you're out of luck. [edit]

Is English not your first language (Not trying to be insulting, I'm legitimately curious)? I ask because I'm noticing errors in grammar in your edits that then have to be re-edited, which creates more trouble. Specifically, I'm seeing problems where you use commas when either semicolons or periods are appropriate. I'm letting you know in hopes that you can prevent these issues in the future. Thanks. Hi Slickmoves, pls note that I have reverted your edit on the above page as per Wikipedia MMAProject - see Wikipedia:WikiProject Mixed martial arts -In the column Method, unless sources within the body text of the article state otherwise, always use the result that is available in a fighter's record at Sherdog Fight Finder. Do not use your interpretation of a fight result in the record, as the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. Any result that is not referenced or that is not the same as in Sherdog, must be returned to how it is described in Sherdog - see David Branch at Sherdog. Since you do edit mma related articles in Wikipedia, I do suggest you to read all the guidelines and related links to familiar yourself with the guidelines and also pleas leave a brief edit summary before you publish/save your edit as Wikipedia content is the collaboration work of many editors and informing others what you have done on your edit performed is a way of communication. Hi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with your edit to Joey Diaz. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. I know you don't edit here that often, but I'm guessing that since you've been editing since 2010, you probably know that Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation.
